Dear Nairalanders,

By popular request, we have ended the swearing of oaths before commenting on the Islam section. However, the requirement to engage muslims with decency and respect remains. We have also promoted the Islam section to the top level because 50% of Nigerians are muslims.

We've also converted the Religion board into the Christianity Etc board, recognizing the fact that most non-muslims are Christians.

Please enjoy! And feel free to share your feedback about these changes with us on this thread.
When exactly was the census taken that established 50% of Nairalanders as Muslims?

Nice gesture, although I would like to point something out. The fact that you said 50% of Nigerians are Muslims does not automatically translate to 50% of your active forum users/visitors being Muslims.
that assertion that 50 percent of d population of Nigerians are Muslim is wrong ....very wrong

And there is one Tundegan, Salewa37 and PhilipoInzaghi Guy that uses Alternate account to comment. sad

This should NOT be allowed. undecided
So glaring. Add trutharena and Chinkoalaji34 to the mix. Worse yet? They're all created about the same damn time, down to the date!

Seun finally you lost the battle. You have failed your religion.

We don't need this kind of rubbish in front page.

I careless if blocked

Edited

How do you arrive at your 50% ? Maybe to make your ex followers happy

2nd edit:

Just found out that you are an ATHEIST. SO you used the muslin clause to gain leverage on people just like the politicians?

Now that you have roots, your Nairaland is untouchable i guess.

Regardless, is a smart move just like earlier stage of Bulaba balablue

Nice Reform. More needed urgently to salvage this crawling, fledgling site. Crack down on tribalism and address selective punitive banning.

"....recognizing the fact that most non-muslims are Christians"

I don't blame you for this nonsense assertion and hate-filled conclusion. From your statement, you are not different from islamic terrorists who are in the deluded game to islamize Nigeria. Shame to you all

How you all enjoyed the bias all the while is shockinig. You declared people had do sware to comment in the Islam section but didn't do same for the Christian section. Thank God you are beginning to treat everyone equally here because that was no nice at all.

Still based in justice! Are Muslim users more than Christians on this forum?

Terrible statistics, zero thought out process! It’s your forum, continue till you wake up one day and it’s not more. Can’t you see how you have stunted the growth of this forum? I have been here since 2007, and a member since 2009.

Isn’t evident how NL has retrogressed the past many years??

You are a Coward who is scared of Muslims. Be honest about it. You do this because you take Christians for granted, because they are not as Terrorist or as Violent as Muslims. You are wrong.

Still not fair enough. You are placing one religion above another simply because they are non violent.
Violent as in?
Mark this post and affirm it later.
U will see from now that Christians will be more busy on the Islam thread preaching and negating posts made by Muslims in the Islam section. Those guys don't respect other people's space.

I pray one day, those blindly attacking Muslims and Islam pick up genuine interest and study the religion as westerners do.

I don't see why they should commend you guys on this. This should have done years back but you guys ignored it. Muslims were commenting on Christian post and said a lot of ubbish ajd nothing would happen but if same rubbish were to be commented on Muslim posts, all these weak brain people will come out to sing blasphemous choruses.
Everyone knows that Muslim can never stop their evil attitude towards Christians. They are mainspring of evil.
They are filled up with religion that certain milestons are prohibited because they are not in line with their beliefs.

You guys should stop all these nonsense and turn to Christ
