[ Did you follow the said election closely? What can you say about rivers state results? quote author=Penguin2 post=135122926] I disagree. How many governors did Obi have when he won 11 states and the FCT in 2023? These things are just false narratives that they plant into our heads to make us think the governors are almighty. But 2023 showed that the people are the structure. Forget where the governor is standing, if the people collectively resolve where they want to go, there’s little to nothing a governor can do.
|

SmartPolician:How many governors were involved in Obi's labour party membership and how many governors influenced the elections in states that peter obi won in 2023 within such a short time of preparation? Dey play. It's high time people realised that we don't even need any politician's involvement or influence in the choice of who should lead us. If the masses can speak with one voice, they will defeat any politician-backed candidates. Obi's case is a proof |

If Goodluck Jonathan agrees to contest tomorrow and says he is there for just one final term , everything will turn on its head |

JASONjnr:This is the mistake most of you are making: 2027 isn’t about any region’s turn. Right now, the overwhelming focus of Nigerians especially those crushed under the weight of these disastrous economic policies disguised as reforms is to remove the most wicked, draconian regime in this country’s history. Woe betide any motherfker who dares say Tinubu should be allowed to finish eight years, or that it’s the South’s turn. That motherfker will be reminded that Tinubu and his gang never let Goodluck Jonathan, a Southerner complete his own eight years |

You people kept pushing it down our troth. Obi got 6million vote without a governor bla bla bla. I want to out the record straight. Obi won the election without any governor or senator and that was why it became easy for you guys to right him out at the state level. |

fergie001:Good. Let atiku keep driving it. Obi will soon join him, okay. Meanwhile tell atiku that rotation between north and South is unconstitutional but still we don't want him right now. |

Bobloco:How did you even find yourself discussing Nigerian politics but deny yourself facts. Zoning of presidency is highly observed and can't be overlooked. Buhari took 8yrs of your life and did nothing. The entire South kept quiet and supported him. Now we have a southerner,, and you are telling me that Zoning doesn't matter? So that Atiku who's only aim is to be a president will come into power and do absolutely nothing.... |

Even if 100 government defect to APC, it really doesn't matter. Once the people are determined and take a stand to support Peter Obi then it's over. |

Obi’s candidacy alone cannot bring the needed change—unless the North is truly ready to make a bold political statement. If Nigeria misses this second, and perhaps final, opportunity to elect a genuine leader, the consequences will be catastrophic. By 2028, the nation may witness open markets where human body parts are sold. Kidnap for ransom will become a booming business, and ethnic cleansing may spread like wildfire. The current carnage caused by Yahoo boys will seem like child’s play compared to what lies ahead. A full-scale crisis will engulf the country. The reason many youths are no longer motivated to work hard is because the system has been rigged—hard work is no longer rewarded, and corruption thrives. The economic hardship caused by Tinubu’s policies has birthed a wave of criminality and bloodshed. Any move to retain this man for another four years will spell doom for Nigeria. Beyond leadership, electoral and judicial reforms are urgently needed. As things stand, elections are no longer won solely at the ballot box—declarations are influenced by backdoor dealings and deep pockets. The judiciary, too, has lost the confidence of the people; it can no longer be trusted to deliver justice or protect the will of the electorate. Unless pragmatic measures are taken to fix these institutions, Tinubu’s re-election will only signify “suffering pro max.” The choice is clear: either we rise and reclaim our nation, or we sit back and watch it crumble beyond repair |

NigeriaIsGreat:I kept telling you all if dem born obi let him come and win Lagos again I'm daring you, obi and all obidient. Lagosian have learned their lesson they will never make such mistakes in their life again because they thought obi was coming with a Liberal politics not know he was coming with ipob conquest ideology so it will never happen in Lagos and never again in any SW its a promise because we are going to do everything to stop Atiku and Fulani conquest ideology in the South and at the same we will do everything humanly possible to stop obi and ipob conquest in any Southern state. Take this to the bank. We can never have 2 Southern president within time frame of 8 years and the North must wait for their turn in 2031. Take this or leave it. 2027 not too far you go watch plenty movie eyes go turn you. |

SmartPolician:Am sure you are referring to yourself, cos from the last election apart from wike that had to kill ppl ,most governors lost their states to other political parties in the presidential elections.... Peter obi without a single governor won more than 12 states.... Your mumu jagaban lost in both his claimed state n state of origin.... |

NigeriaIsGreat:Dey play ok. You are a Lagosian and you won't vote for Tinubu, yea that is your choice and right and myself I'm not Lagosian neither from SW but I was born in SW and I will forever support anything SW because SW was the only region that accepted our parents from SE after the civil war and I will forever appreciate that and grateful to their kindness so I'm voting Tinubu again and again I'm not an ingrate SW made my parent and majority of my friends are from SW in a nutshell I love them exceedingly regardless Tinubu policies, seriously I'm not bothered a bit. Thanks for being a Lagosian and standing against your own people I wish you the very best, however, Tinubu is your president till 2031 take that to bank. |

African politics is really a mess. Just imagining the number of Governors and other political Stalwarts who have already cross - carpeted to the APC, in 2025 alone, is mind blowing...worsening, they haven't changed jerseys for the betterment of Nigeria, but to meet their insatiable needs and selfish interests. I keep saying it that there is no democracy in Africa. None. Most of those who have cross - carpeted must have had some premonitions that the APC will snatch power again in 2027. Spits!!! |

JASONjnr:So because you voted for Peter Obi in the last elections, you should now vote for Tinubu in the next elections ? Do you cast your votes based on the Aspirant's manifesto, vision, and competence or you do vote based on who your heart tells you to ? It's people like you who have put Nigeria in the irreparable mess it is in, today. No hard feelings..just saying the obvious |
