If any body thinks that obi can still repeat the figures he got in 2023 at 2027 that person is deceiving himself. What happened in 2023 elections was purely religious politics. I can bet with anything that 70% of christians irrespective of tribe and region that voted in 2023 elections voted for Obi while the Muslims votes were devided between Tinubu,Atiku and kwankwaso.I did not see that happening again in 2027 especially now that everybody understood that the Muslim Muslim ticket was just a tool used to win an election. I think the best thing for Obi is to merge with Atiku and contest together.

Obi can never ever defeat Tinubu if only 2 of them were in the ballot. I am very sure that even president Tinubu will be praying for both Obi nd Atiku to re contest separately in 2027. I repeat, strong merger is the only option left for the opposition if at all the stand a chance to win.
grin don’t waste your time educating those newbie’s that thought elections in Nigeria started in 2023…..they still think obi 6million vote is still intact.

This delusional obidient minions don’t know that the dynamics have changed grin even now that his obidence minions have made so much enemies for him thereby losing non ibo voters grin

If they think Lagos will be won again by obi, then they should expect the shock of there life because Lagos seem to be the only state they keep masturbating on since the last election, but Yorubas are wiser now, now that there ethnic agenda have been unveiled grin

Anyways I pray and hope they make obi the sole candidate of the coalition grin that will be the prayer of Apc, the election would be won by Tinubu before 12noon on election day grin

You guys are forgetting the fact that most people voted for PO out of fear of Muslim Muslim ticket. It wasn't out of any love or his ability to lead. It wouldn't be so this time around.
2. He can't unite sh**t, if he could then LP wouldn't be in such a disarray. If he is incapable of uniting a small party, what makes you think he can unite diverse opposition parties and interests. You think people like Elrufai and Atiku are moving up and down because of love for Nigeria? It is their personal interest obi can't handle those men. They would control him.
3. The youths clamouring for Obi, mostly are first time voters, GenZ, they just follow trends, most of them just accept the disinformation spread all round by Obidients without verifing the facts or make research. So i don't see a change in that voter demography. In the 10 to 20 years, these Genz would become the majority, that's when his best opportunity may arise. For now I doubt it.
3. Lock down a region? Wth how many votes? If not out of Bigotry, Nepotism, tribalism, then Obi couldn't have gotten over 95% votes in the South East. They voted for him, not because he was the best, as most of them who witnessed his time as Governor testified, but because of fear of MUMU ticket, perceived injustice in power sharing, and hate for the Yoruba people. You guys should just for one be honest just for once, no one is going to hold it against you for wanting a South Eastern to also hold the office of president. But the paint job done on OBI was beyond comprehension. I mean the guy is basically average, but they made it look as though he has two heads, the alpha and omega who can handle all problems besetting the country.

SE folks spent so much time and resources in laundrying Obi's image. Infact he is amazed at the outcome he feels it's organic love. That explains the reason why he keep moving up and down attending events and capitalizing on people's grief, just to remain relevant.Who knew him B4 2019, does organic love start during elections? If he has organic votes, he should stay in one place, the votes will always be for him regardless. Buhari is a testament to this fact. The man came out once every 4 years, but still had the same votes.

Obi was unknown even after the 2019 elections, what brought him to lime light was MUMu ticket, social media campaign against Tinubu, which was amplified by Christian leaders across the country. That should explain why he couldn't amass then same votes in non Christian dominated states.
I was returning from Abuja prior to the elections, a guy just stood up and started preaching, next was how the plan was to Turn everyone in Nigeria into a Muslim should Tinubu wins. That was the message that gave him most of his votes not any organic love

Now that fear is no longer there, he is left wth the GenZ twitter, Facebook, tiktok users and his SE votes.
It's a lie. The support for Obi was already running wild before Tinubu picked his VP.

Do you also think that people voted for Tinubu with the belief he will do wonders as he allegedly done in Lagos? Are majority of the people that voted him not disappointed?? Tinubu is currently the worst president and you don't think it affect him??

1. You recall that in 2010, NAPEP notes that Anambra State had the least people living in poverty under Peter Obi?

Well, this was once again confirmed in 2023. Anambra was listed again as a Top 3 state with the least poor people.

Governance is not by licking microphones.

You are a very confused person , after knowing that the MUMU ticket was a tool to win election , you still went ahead to state that obi can not get the votes he got because he got it through religious sentiment ? You think people
are happy with tinubu? I know because you have seen how the APC writes their results of every election ever since they got to power, you have lost hope on credible election if that is your bias then its understandable, you think the venom coming from the APC SW after the last election was because tinubu won election? No. they are very factual in those places where polictical decisions are made because that is the only way they perfect their manipulation. You think PDP didnt know what they were saying when they said LP was winning the election? Let me tell you for free the situation has even worsen for tinubu and that is the fact and the APC knows to well and that is the reason they are paying alot of people home and abroad to demarket Obi even if What they have to say about him is not correct or is it the attacks on the igbos and yorubas with igbo wives or yorubas with igbo friend? What are they not doing for a people that won election lol .

I just laughed after reading the write up from the novice writer.
Firstly, most people that voted for PO was not because they really loved him.
It was because of the Muslim Muslim ticket by Jagaba, they look at it as a slap on Christians.
Meanwhile, Jagaba used that as pointer to gather votes from the Northern Region.
Obi Alone can never defeat Jagaba without coalitions of other parties.
Even Abubakar Atiku stand a better chance better than him in terms of. Popularity.
Majority of the South West Christians that kicked against Jagaba combination are the ones head of the Major parastatals in his administration presently.
From EFCC, IG, Immigration CBN and many more.
Their music has changed. I can bet my life on this Northern region will never back PO it not even an alternative to unseat Jagaba I rest my case.

The opposition should have united long ago to achieve electoral reforms.

Don’t be surprised that the election result has already been written down and kept somewhere ready for announcement in 2027.
This is what I am trying to say. Our votes would not count..

In opposition strong hold, there would be wide spread ballot ball snatching with already
prepared results somewhere.

They count actually. You think if they dont, Tinubu would be luring people to his side?

You can rig 1 million votes ....bit you cant rig 4 million votes differential which is what is likely to happen if Atiku and obi run on the same ticket

Re: 5 Strong Reasons Why Peter Obi Should Lead The Opposition Coalition (Opinion) by pharmagba:
I think there is no opposition and Obi is just another politicians hungry for power.
In 2023, the new idea of Muslim/Muslim coupled with abysmal performance of the Buhari administration make lots of individual want a fairly new breed, which was why lots of people voted Obi.

Right now the tide has changed immensely, Tinubu has stabilise the nation, he had even made in road into all opposition territory and Obi supporters have come to see Tinubu as a better leader. If the top 3 in the 2023 election stand on the ballot today it will be a landslide for Tinubu and Obi and Atiku will be blown away.
It not about coalition but about good governance and alliances. In 2015, Jonathan failed on alliance, he shouldn't have allowed the five governors to leave PDP. Right now we have Tinubu who is bringing opposition Governor into APC.
The bottom line is that Obi cannot lead the opposition, he is not a natural leader, the Labour Party crises showed that even an Abure can manoeuvre him. Look at Tinubu in 2019 , not in power preventing a sitting Governor from laying hold on second term.

The only way Tinubu can defeat Peter Obi is through blatant rigging, using state apparatus and deploying state machinery and thugs to snatch it, grab it and run away with it.

If it comes down to a free and fair election devoid of voter inducement, coercion, intimidation, and the like, Tinubu would not secure more than 500,000 votes nationwide.
...and that 500k votes will be from dim witted bottom barrel tribalists!

Nigeria has even become worse off since 2023, meaning that Peter Obi is likely to garner more votes. FYI, there's always a reason why people vote for a candidate.

Tinubu has been the most incompetent Nigerian president so far for totally destroying Nigeria's economy and leading the country into oblivion.

Nobody can categorically point to where Nigeria is headed at the moment - no clear goals, no vision and concrete steps! We just sleep and wake up to hear politics, politics and politics with no clear development goals!
obi will gather more votes from where ? Kano, katsina or yobe . cause all the Christians in Nigeria have voted for him

Peter Obi cannot win without Northern support and the North is not ready to support another Southerner apart from Tinubu...

Because if they support Peter Obi, he will want to rule for 8 years.

And Northerners cannot afford to give the South 12 years to rule

So Peter Obi should be the VP candidate to Atiku Abubakar and after 4 years, he will run for the Presidency.
