Thanks for the advice. I ave contacted the customer service but the response I got was that there is really no date for Lagos, not even 2026, the calender stops at 2025 so will it be ok to wait and keep checking util dates are made available and I hope my visa fees will not have expired by then?

What you can do is to raise a ticket or email the embassy or keep waiting . It is the onus of all visa applicant to research and verify their appointment location before they chose a post.

No matter how urgent you want an appointment you cannot rush or force the US embassy out of their yearly , monthly, weekly or daily allotted calendar routings except if your case qualifies for emergency appointment. 👍

The whole dates in Lagos is already occupied in 2025 till April2026.... Although if you are vigilant you will still get one or two dates between March and April 2026. I get Monday 30th march 2026 for one of my 3clients this morning. So stay online 24/7 I think you will get or you can render services of some guys. But the whole Lagos dates in both remaining months of 2025 till April 2026 are already occupied. Customer support are limited to some questions especially date of interview matter they have no access to that only to clear errors or sort out some others issues.

Is it advisable to fill in the DS-160 that you haven't been denied a US visa before due to the fact that you have a new passport and you now reside in another country as a resident of that country?

In your former application, you filled in that you have dependants you want to go and visit while in your new application you claim you don't have relatives in the US for eligibility purpose.

What is your opinion please. The experienced ones here.

I would like to schedule a visa interview appointment for my family of three. Should I schedule separate appointments for each applicant on the same day different time ? I was informed that I couldn't schedule a group session for all three of us at once or what should I do please help

Hello.
There is family group appointment (eg father, mother & children), but there is no general group appointment (eg office staffs from NTA).

In order for you to create family group appointments all of you must be applying for the same visa class eg B2 tourist/visitors visa and you must answer the same surname .

If the above is true then you should click on Create new in your avits profile (as described in the attached) and follow the prompts, it will ask for your travel companions info and calculate your visa fees together which you will print out and proceed to pay in the bank or choose your other payment options.

Do not navigate to the general group appointment which is marked " X cancel (in the 1st attachment).

Note: You are applying for your family inside your own avits profile . Do not open another avits for any of your family except if anyone of them doesn't answer your surname or he or she is going for another visa category eg F1 visa. Good LucK 👍

And also I am planning on booking my flight tickets (going and return ) before the interview

I am not sure your category is B1/B2

Girlfriend, not spouse. So it's definitely B1/B2.
You don't necessarily have to buy your ticket beforehand. Just ensure you have enough evidence to prove your relationship with your girlfriend, and strong home ties to prove you're returning back to Nigeria.

Hello.
If the error is just one alphabet or number you can attend your appointment like that but if it's entirely whole number error ( eg boy200 ....boi200 or boo200 manageable / boy200.... girl200 not manageable) you can raise a ticket or email the embassy.

Naturally your appointment letter is a gate-pass. Your ds -160 information as well as your physical travel passport is what the US embassy follows in issuing your visa and recording your data. 👍

I filled my Ds160 for late January submitted online on Lagos consulate but I later realized that I could get an earlier appointment date in Abuja which I did. Now I have an appointment in Abuja for September and my file was earlier submitted in Lagos, How will transfer my DS160 to Abuja ?

I logged on today to see that this issue has been resolved.

Mine is no longer showing the "No active receipt found for applicant/application"

I also saw couple of available dates for March 2025.
