The recent defection of the PDP’s political structure in Delta State to the APC has made headlines. Predictably, APC spokespersons have rushed to portray this move as a decisive shift in their favor. However, a review of the electoral data from the 2023 presidential election offers a more accurate perspective and bring to the fore, the reason the APC is desperately destroying and poaching opposition strongholds.

Despite the Labour Party’s relatively short preparation time of just eight months, it outperformed both the APC and PDP combined in Delta State:

Labour Party (LP): 160,123 votes (57.71%)

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP): 67,567 votes (24.35%)

All Progressives Congress (APC): 45,074 votes (16.25%)

These results make it clear: Delta State remains firmly aligned with the vision and message of Mr. Peter Obi and the Labour Party, and the spirit of the Obidient movement remains strong and unwavering.

LP should quickly settle their leadership rift and move on to position the party for the presidency in 2027.

No meaningful Nigerian including me cared about any other sit for LP members to win. We cared about the Presidential sit with Obi on the ballot. If anyone riding on LP got any senatorial or HOR sit, the Obi wave LUCKILY came to the person. Meaningful Nigerians voted Obi & other party members that have been doing well wether in APC or PDP or other parties.

If Obi leaves LP to another party, we follow. If Osibanjo or Goodluck comes out for the Presidential ballot, we leave Obi & go for either of them. We follow for COMPETENCE sake no be mumu follow we dey follow like the way you lots follow in darkness with your eyes open.

As it is now, Obi bests Tinubu or Atiku with clear vision, clear plan & compassion.
