My tribe is not tribalistic at all...we don't vote along ethnic lines in my tribe at all... š¤£š¤£š¤£... what a joke. In 2027 let's make it 100% and after cry how tribalistic others are for voting their brothers too. |

Tinubu doesn't deserve any vote again, not even his own vote: he has failed Nigerians. |

The only state that voted Peter Obi in the southwest is Lagos, this idea of painting the picture of the whole southwest voting for him is kinda deceptive and not truthful |

Okoroawusa:1999 and 2003 Southeast voted for Obasanjo. (Yoruba,) 2007, Southeast voted for Yaradua.(Northerner) 2011 and 2015, Southeast voted for Good luck Jonathan. (Ijaw) 2019, Southeast voted for Atiku.(Northerner) 2023, Southeast voted for Obi. And clowns have the yeye audacity to call SE tribalistic. When have SW, North ever voted for any Igbo presidential candidate since 1999? 2023 election is the only election? |

Well, those who chose NOT to vote for bat have been vindicated... @OP, your attempts at sowing ethnic discord will fail because the records are there... In 1999 when OBJ and Falae were the main contenders, Falae of AD was seen as the choice of the South West and he got over 77% of the votes cast there. https://www.pulse.ng/articles/news/politics/1999-presidential-election-how-nigerians-voted-2024072607335294065 In 2003 when it was OBJ vs Buhari (major contenders), the South West gave OBJ over 90% of its votes. Mind you, Ojukwu was on the ballot but the SE went with OBJ. https://www.pulse.ng/articles/news/politics/2003-presidential-election-how-nigerians-voted-2024072607402366200 In 2023 was the only time the SW did not vote massively for thier 'perceived' candidate. And that tells a lot about how bat is seen by even his own people. However, these are all distractions and attempts to muddle the waters of BAT's glaring, complete and utter failure in improving the socio-economic conditions of the masses. |

jmoore:The only south west state that voted Obi is Lagos, other south west state , obi scored below 5% of the total votes cast. The places were Obi won in Lagos are the cosmopolitan areas where enlightened people exist like island, ikeja, Papa, kosofe etc. I will pull out Lagos results for everyone to see. |

jmoore:Was there any front-line candidate from my tribe in those elections you mentioned above? My tribe has always voted PDP since 1999 even if it had a goat as a presidential candidate because our tribesmen were at the forefront of the party. Check out the flexibility of other regions in the way they distributed their votes since 1999 and juxtapose it with that of my tribe and tell me which one is less tribalistic. In 2023, we showed our full colour. Nwokem koronu nsi nsi si ebea puo! |
| Re: Statisense: 2023 Presidential Election: Votes By Zone by givedemwotowoto: 6:59pm On Apr 27, 2025 |
Okoroawusa:Yes. Ojukwu was a frontline candidate of Igbo tribe in the 2003 presidential election but got only 28% of votes there. Obasanjo got 65% of the votes from the SE in 2003, Buhari got only 7% even with an Igbo Vice Presidential candidate I have written about this before so again STFU https://www.nairaland.com/8217099/voting-patterns-south-east-1999 |

jmoore:You people as always be sympathetic to pdp until they disappointed you people. Was obj the choice of yorubas in 1999. Why did you people remians the only zone Abiola didn't win in 1993 election. You people has always be jealous of yorubas since Azikiwe's time. One of your foolish brothers went to the court to try and stop 1993 election, another one was soo caword not to declare Abiola the winner but want Nigeria to immortalize him. What a huge joke. If you people have used sentiment to immortalize the fearfully man, you will have also called to do the same thing to the one that went to court to tried and stop the 1993 election. Yorubas will continue to be ahead of you people politically if you keep hating and be bitter towards them. Know that and know peace. |

PandoraObi:Now, show us the Southeast voting pattern in 1999 when Obasanjo was candidate. In 2003 when Obasanjo was candidate again. In 2007 when Yaradua was candidate. In 2011 when Jonathan was candidate. In 2015 when Jonathan was candidate again. In 2019 when Atiku was candidate. Or did Southeast start voting only in 2023? |

Okoroawusa:You read and react without understanding. He said Ojukwu was a front line candidate of the IGBO TRIBE in the 2003 Presidential election. Why are you distorting what he said just to score cheap points? I believe you could be a grown up who is expected to have understanding while reading but it's shameful that you somehow lack it. I hope that person doesn't respond to your lack of comprehension post. |

Okoroawusa:Anakogheri!! Is PDP name of a tribe? Why didn't they vote for PDP in 2023? Who is 'we'? All these imposters!! Candidate is candidate. Your SW and Northern have never voted majorly for any presidential candidate of Igbo extraction since 1999. That's the tribalism exhibited by SW and north. So rest with your propaganda and lies of APC babablu. |

aieromon:Thanks so much for this , only Oyo and Ogun, which might be driven by the high population of non indigenes in Mowe, Ibafo, Agbara, Ota etc so this collaborates my earlier post, you can compare notes with votes Obasanjo got in the South East when he contested in 1999 and in 2003 |

Looking at this results alone, a sane, logical and truthful mind will know that 2023 is one of the best election we've heard in this country, unfortunately, the obidients and some bitter losers made it seems as if it was rigged, I don't see 2027 being fair as the one of 2023, its going to be heavily monetized, Kudos to PMB for that election. posterity will judge. aieromon: |

Presidential election in Nigeria didn't start in 2023. From 1993 to 2019, Igbos have cheerfully voted Presidential candidates from other tribes, namely; 1993 - MKO Abiola (Yoruba) 1999 - Olusegun Obasanjo (Yoruba) 2003 - Olusegun Obasanjo (Yoruba) 2007 - Musa Yaradua (Fulani) 2011 - Goodluck Jonathan (Ijaw) 2015 - Goodluck Jonathan (Ijaw) 2019 - Atiku Abubakar (Fulani) So in all fairness, 2023 was supposed to be micro-zoned to Southeast just as 1999 was done for Southwest. Igbos voted massively for Peter Obi because Igbos believed they have voted and supported other tribes enough for others to replicate the support for an Igbo candidate, and secondly because Peter Obi was a qualified candidate that would have repositioned Nigeria for the good of all Nigerians |

In a nutshell, southeast was actually the most tribalistic region in 2023 election, not southwest as they used to claim. |
