Jonathan still faced the problem of swearing in 3x. This was a case take to court, I can't remember the outcome but it will be too much of a distraction. You can't be sworn 3x as president.

Yes I just read the whole article . But this is my own opinion . I think gej was elected with yarvadua in 2007, he took over as president in 2009 after the demise of Yar adua and completed Yar'Adua tenure , he contested again in 2011 and won. Now if the analysis that he has done two terms is tenable ,then why did the opposition ,INEC and other allow him to contest again in 2015? Because if he had won ,he would have been sworn in as president

That was in the past, now they control the judiciary. No party will want to give Jonathan their party for him to run on only for him to lose on technicalities. That's why I said it's a distraction.

Don't forget Jonathan was presented by northern politicians as someone who did not allow them complete their 8 years when he chose to run in 2011.
