Some are crying foul here for want of knowledge.. Please lay your hand on the judgement and get details rather than depending on your own mind. You can also sue the court for delivery a judgement you don't like.
Battering a woman or man to death due to disagreements in marriage isn't a legal or morally acceptable resort. You call that culpable homicide.
I think the man should be hanged quickly if he doesn't appeal on time..

..it's not murder in the first degree.....it's an aggravated man slaughter case which is almost same with culpable homicide u mentioned and that doesn't attract death penalty anywhere in the world including nigeria....

While it's unfortunate what happened to the woman.... judgement shouldn't be passed based on emotions but according to law.....culpable homicide or aggravated manslaughter attracts10 to 25years depending on the judges discretion......... Someone will definitely appeal the judgement
