Sanwo-Olu is trying hard to prove to Tinubu that he & Peter Obi are enemies. True, they are not friends as Tinubu's old age-induced paranoia thinks but they aren't enemies either.

Sanwo-Olu's fear of Tinubu's wrath is what is making him go extra to spite Obi. If Obi responds, expect the sissy to do worse than this. It's his last straw at survival especially since Tinubu's recent power moves to checkmate a sitting governor and defect the oppositions' biggest blocs has sent shivers down Pointus Pilate's spine.

Sanwo-Olu is doing this to disprove senile Tinubu's theory that he bankrolled Obi's Lagos win via Achimugu. A soft landing for both is the goal.

But Sanwo-Olu is mistaken.
Tinubu is not after him because of this, Tinubu as explained in the thread above always betrays his stooges at the last minute so that they do not have a hold over him. Pointus Pilate will be no different.

3. Tinubu is afraid of what a clean, ex-governor Sanwo-Olu might become in Lagos
4. Tinubu wants to dictate the next Lagos governor
