Its just the best in terms of numbers. The Naira has lost value and that big figure does not count.

If you ask them, they are not making profit.

Nestle Nigeria Plc has continued its recovery path, reporting a pre-tax profit of N51.15 billion in Q1 2025, marking a strong rebound from the N196.086 billion loss posted in the same period of 2024.

When men like Tinubu governs, Companies flourish while Citizens has to work harder. Before Tinubu, Nigerians were spoilt brats. They will insult government for selling petroleum product around #150 per liter and japa to other countries just to buy same product around #1,500 per liter upward.

Ask them why they are not complaining about paying higher prices abroad and they will tell you there is job blablabla. Meanwhile the life they were living in Nigeria was way better than life they are living in their so called abroad. Now subsidy has been removed. No more free money. If you like stay in Nigeria or Japa, you will be paying high prices either way.

Now that Baba Tinubu is forcing everyone to register a business to open a business, it’s time to know what 30% - 40% income tax means abroad. If you like, no enter farming if you get money.
Have you been to abroad before?

Talk what you know bro. They don't spend naira abroad. The minimum earning per hour can buy petrol for a whole week.
What's the minimum earning per hour in Nigeria and how many liters of petrol can it buy?

This is where the standard of living begin to make sense.
Stop spewing ignorance 😒

Nestle Is The Name:

An analysis on the huge figures.

A company in 2022 made a total of 5 million naira in profit for the calendar year. 5 million naira then could buy 1000 bags of cement. Say cement cost 5000 Naira per bag.

The same company in 2024 made a total of 10 million Naira in profit for the calendar year. 10 million Naira in 2024 bought 1000 bags of cement. Giving cement at 10,000 Naira per bag.

The company can say they made twice their profit in 2024 when compared to 2022 but the purchasing power of the 10M is equivalent to 5M they made 2 years before.

Let’s judge. Did that company truly make any profits?
Same company declared losses in 2023 & 2024

But what is the current purchasing power of that ₦‎295 Billion revenue in light of today's runaway inflation. huh

And Revenue is not profit as you still have to deduct higher cost of sales and operating expenses from that revenue before arriving at Net profit.
The same story line. Last year when they made heavy loss you didn't convert.

This your analysis is left handed. Will investors use this to assess the health of the company? The dollar mentality is killing Nigerians. You are talking of a valuation that is padded. What you have now is the real of the cost of things in your country. Accept it and adjust accordingly. Companies are adjusting that's why they are bouncing back.

What we have now is hyperinflation and hyper inflated prices of commodities.

You need a magician to hold the rate of inflation at what it is now with the heavy realignment of the economy that is on going. Ask any neutral economist. So far so good for the team.

Really? Investors don't agree with you. The year to date gain on Nestle stock is 38% and the 52 week trading range is 796k to over 1100k.

Stock prices price in all available information including the impact of fx prices on products.

Many well organised cash rich companies are doing very well. These are not companies where directors take profit to go and do naira spraying.

President Tinubu is doing his job by making businesses profitable, and businesses will provide jobs for the people, but the problem is, most youths don’t want to work, but want good life to appear out of nowhere. Govts don’t create jobs, private sectors do.
