[quote author=TouchNfollow post=135175303] African leaders.

Was it the Useless church that treated him ?

Why couldn't he have built a hospital or even a cancer screening center .
Re: Ugandan Leader Built Church After Six Month Cancer Treatment In Germany by touchmark(m): 6:56pm On Apr 30, 2025
Why not cancer treatment centre. Seems God intentionally cursed us with bad leaders without the most common of sense in Africa

Yeah, as much as I hate to do so, I agree with you.

He should have at least built a secondary health care center, but as you said, finding staff for the hospital would have been very very difficult.

Assuming he did the church in his village, the sad fact is many professionals, not just doctors, are not ready to work in village. City has far more anemities and opportunities for side hustle than village.

And Uganda has the same problem of medics leaving the country. Like Nigeria.
Thank you. Please ignore all these kids on social media who think their possession of a phone or computer to type on, means they know anything.

Left to them, if you have some money, you can just “build a hospital”.

Ignorant kids.😆

The man said he promised God he will build a church ... should he break his promise? Many politicians are near sighted like the one shouting he should've built a hospital. They built hospitals and airports thinking the structure is everything. And we wonder why we have sooo many white elephants throughout the country ...several being hospitals.

Don't blame him. Most of us know God is the Oga Patapata and would love to build structure in his honor free of cost... Yes to build a hospital would have been perfect, provided the Government will handle it else it is another business and can't be subsides with private money
God bless u!

And is the same God who created the people that treated him.

A Ugandan “leader”?

What kind of leader?

You think you just wake up and build a hospital?

Do you know if they have the doctors and required nursing staff in the area, or can afford equipment for a big hospital that can treat major illnesses like cancer?

It’s not something you just wake up and do because you think you have money.

You will just build an empty, deserted place if you are not careful.

Very simplistic reasoning by OP.
.... and what purpose will a church serve, or how will the locals benefit from having a church in there area ?

His choice but if the faith was so strong, why treatment? The question of how the hospital will run will have to be aswered if he had opted for that.
Why not upgrade an already existing hospital then? undecided

The staff way dey japa, just like in Nigeria, do U think they would leave if they had good pay & the country is secured?..U think people like to leave everything they know behind to go to some foreign land & start all over?

There's something about the African man, that makes him refuse to do things that will develop his nation.

If you are healed after being medically treated due to illness, just know that it's God that has healed you.
To appreciate God is not a bad thing.
But he went to Germany...is the God in Germany different from the one in Africa ? why travel all the way to Germany to get God's healing?

I don’t support the church building, because I am not a Christian. I prefer African traditional spirituality.

But telling the unspecified Ugandan “leader” to “build a hospital instead” is the height of ignorance.

Do you have the slightest clue what it takes to build a functional hospital?

The building itself is just 1/5th of the work involved.

Stop your self-hatred and inferiority complex.

Are you not an “African man”?

Stop stereotyping Africans, or you can start with your family and your parents.

What is his leadership position to “upgrade” an existing hospital?

The article just called him “a leader”.

Leader of what, we don’t know.

Don’t you care to know what kind of “leader” he was?

You folks are all so full of anti-black bitterness and self-hatred that you don’t even bother to know what is what, or who is who before jumping in to criticise and attack “Africans” and “black people”.

You are conditioned to self-hate, and worship whites.

The juju the whites did on you to be that way, go and cure it.

Don't blame him, blame the government

It is the government responsibility to provide these public infrastructures not individuals, although individuals with knowledge to run a hospital can also invest in that but in this case I doubt if this man has what it takes to run a hospital

also, people are free to put their money in whatever venture they want, it is only the government we can hold responsible!

If you have the money, you can still hire qualified personnel to work there. And you don't necessarily need to build a hospital that can treat major illnesses; you can focus on something that addresses other common illnesses as well
