Government is the owner of the taxes on bank profits, which the government is supposed to use for employing and paying civil servants to provide basic common services and utilities for everyone. Things like road maintenance, law and order, electricity etc.

The funny thing about all these increment is it takes 1 second but to see changes in increase in ur salary after the law is passed it takes 1 to 3 years..

That was how I was charged almost 1k for Alert. Nah to enter bank go cancel the SMS. I'm not interested in their messages.

Government failure to provide basic infrastrure like constant power supply (electricity), increase in electricity tariff and outright removal of petroleum subsidy.

These led to the telecom companies to increase their tariff because their operational cost has increased because of the above.

Banks uses the services provided by these telecom companies, they have to increase as well,therefore,it boils and watered down to the consumers.

So the government is the main cause of all this burden heaped on Nigerians.
