Afrobeat superstar Davido has condemned Nigeria’s government and leadership, calling them the worst he has ever experienced, while praising the entertainment industry for reshaping the country’s global image.Travel guides

Speaking in a recent interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, the award-winning singer expressed disappointment in Nigeria’s leadership but took pride in the achievements of the creative sector.

“I am happy that entertainment switched the narrative. We [Nigerians] don’t have the best leaders. We have the worst governments,” Davido stated.

He emphasized the role of music and culture in enhancing Nigeria’s reputation abroad, noting a surge in foreign interest in the country.

“The music and entertainment industry, in general, has impacted our country’s image abroad positively. The entertainment industry is also attracting tourists to the country,” he said. “Last December, there were more Americans than Nigerians in Lagos. I was like, what are you all doing here?”

Davido also noted the growing influence of African creatives on the global stage.

“It is not just music, it is the culture as a whole. If you go to Paris Fashion Week, about 80 per cent of the models are Africans, the same with the creative directors. It’s impressive.”

if Davido was in a country with an actual working government, he would be in prison for criminal neglect leading to death of a child

instead, he was able to abuse the system so he could throw a hapless nanny and cook into prison indefinitely

if he was in a country with the best of government, he would not be able to demand for nacks from his baby mama before paying for his child's school fees
