You'll have to wait for the second weekend to know if you are back. Brave New World had similar numbers in its first weekend.
CA4 is not even a suitable example for the narrative you are attempting to convey. Before its opening weekend, it was estimated to make $88.5 million, which escalated to $100 million when including Monday (President's Day). The movie managed to meet these projections by earning $88.8 million over the initial three days and reaching the $100 million mark on Monday. Furthermore, it acquired an extra $92 million in international revenue, culminating in a total opening weekend income of $192 million. This figure surpasses what Thunderbolts is currently anticipated to generate globally in its opening weekend.

See how Marvel is winning your vote.

Superman must not flop oo
How is Marvel winning my vote?? I no even understand wetin you dey talk sef. This movie sadly ain't surpassing $450mn+ worldwide in my opinion. If e do miracle, na $500mn+. When you factor in the budget, things becomes dicey. grin grin

Lol, I can make a bet with you now, if you're ready. SUPERMAN ain't flopping shït. If that movie doesn't make money it's $750mn worldwide. That movie is a potential billion dollar grosser or around $900mn+ taking into account its stiff competition.

You are actually proving my point.
CA4 earned slightly more than what's projected for The Thunderbolt and yet it's currently struggling to break even. It's first weekend was big, but not the subsequent ones. If The Thunderbolt is going to be a hit, it's sophomore weekend has to be better than that of CA4.

Funny enough, F4 is the only MCU film this year I'm truly confident about. I enjoyed the trailer of CA4 and thought it was promising even better than Thunderbolts..... But I guess I was wrong.

F4 is a wild card to me. If it over performs, it hinges around $600-650mn. If its moderate or as expected, then around a $550mn overall gross.

This summer has really interesting match ups. Seems people seems to be forgetting the juggernaut that is coming, that is How To Train Your Dragon. There's also Lilo and Stitch which might over perform.

HAvoc. Thanks for the recommendation. It is absolutely worth it.

Though I think the movie should have been named Mess, because it was one hell of a mess. Lol

It already has positive critical reception something that CA4 struggled with. I'll say it will be just fine.

Observing DC tards on this platform and beyond attempting to play down our modest Suicide Squad project as if daddy Gunn didn't make his own attempt in 2021 with a similar budget, which blew up in his face, generating less revenue than its production costs. Subsequently, they blamed its outcome entirely on the impact of the pandemic, despite the fact that "No Time to Die" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" released in the same fücking year. Oh, well.

I thought I was alone in recognizing the nonsense being disseminated here this afternoon. Marvel seemingly possesses a level of influence over critics that allows for potential manipulation, yet they failed to leverage this power to generate positive reviews for their $350 million politically charged film, at least have them say you fixed it after the extensive reshoots. It's this average stake, after-thought that they will sway the critics across America and Europe to generate fake hype for. It appears as though these guys are merely typing without thinking which is not out of the norm anyway.

It's not really cancelled. It's been pushed back to start shooting next summer. It was scheduled and getting prepped for principal photography this summer. But plans have changed. That's why I said the headline is somewhat mischievous.

I'm not a big fan of Luca too especially for a commercial movie. But I feel the WWII setting (since North Americans love war films) and Colin Farrell would give him a boost; as well as the DCU connectivity.

Oh. Many headlines were saying cancelled
Anyway, that's not a project I'm looking forward to, whatever they want to do with it is their business
