Gucciboy:You speak as though Liverpool isn’t a strong contender for the league title. But if you take Manchester City out of the equation over the past seven seasons you quoted, how many Premier League trophies would Klopp have won? If Slot wins the league this season, it’ll be mainly because Pep and City slipped up, just like how City’s dominance has been the major hurdle for other teams, if city had been in their form like two season ago, Slot will remain where klopp, Arterta, Mourinho and others found themselves in the previous 7 seasons ago. |

raumdeuter:Other contenders either had their strikers injured or were foolish not to have got quality strikers. Why didn't you ask about the striker your team is using to win Burnthisleaguedown with an Epl flop, Kompany? |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by raumdeuter: 3:51pm On May 01, 2025 |
airmark:The other contenders who have strikers why are they not in the semi? Who is the striker for Liverpool who steamrolled your league? PSG vs Arsenal who are their strikers? And one of them will be in the final which Kane and Bayern wont make |

AirBere:Same here too on the emboldened. I prefer a world class to than eleven world class players in each position. To add to your list example of having a better coach,is Rafa Benitez who was about relegating real madrid till zidane took over and won the UCL with them and winning the return leg of el-classico at the nou camp having previously lost the first leg at the Bernabeu. 4-0 Guss Hindink schooled Marco Van Basten in euro 2008 with unknown Russian players. The same Dutch side that had previously defeated world champions like Italy and france in the group stage. Having a better coach than players in football can't be over emphasise. |

raumdeuter:Why is Kompany, an Epl flop, leading your league with a striker? |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by raumdeuter: 4:04pm On May 01, 2025 |
popizaino:Good players are more important than good coaches. That is the difference between Ancelotti at Everton and Ancelotti at Madrid That is why the same set of talented nations and rich clubs keep winning the big trophies regardless of their coach. Do you think Deschamps and Scaloni who were mediocre clubs coaches are the best in National team football? (Note they both made the last world cup final) . In the last 10yrs only 1 new club has won the CL and that is billionaire Man city. Actually in the last 25yrs only 2 new clubs have won the CL and that was billionaire backed Chelsea and City who were able to buy great players |

airmark:Why is Slot a mediocre coach from Eredivisie without a striker winning your league, he actually won already without a striker |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by AirBere: 4:07pm On May 01, 2025 |
popizaino:Niko Kovak had Bayern playing very dire football and was sacked. His replacement; Hansi Flick had a record breaking treble winning season with the same players. There are multiple examples to this. I'll always take a world class coach, 6-7 top players, mix it up with some serviceable players. I prefer this model to the galactico model. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by AirBere: 4:16pm On May 01, 2025 |
raumdeuter:You're not getting the whole point though. Football is about the players but a good coach can paper the crack and bridge that gap especially at club level. You need the good players no doubt about that but you also need to assemble them. That's where a good coach comes in. You're not winning that treble in 2020 with mediocre Kovak as coach. With same squad Barca are now looking good again. That's the kind of gap I'm talking about. Not Las Palmas winning the league with Pep as coach. Or Everton winning the league with Carlo. That's not happening. National teams is peak for players not the coaches though and Scaloni never coached any club except some stint as an assistant at Sevilla. I'll like to see him at a club like Atletico. I think he'll be good. |

raumdeuter:Refer to my past answer why other contenders failed. Now, tell me why an Epl flop is winning your league with a striker? |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by raumdeuter: 4:28pm On May 01, 2025 |
AirBere:Both are important but players are more important than the coach Why do you think Carlo didnt win CL at Napoli Everton and only won at AC Milan and Madrid the 2 best teams in CL history? Why do the same teams always win the CL and world cup. The only 2 new winners in the CL past 25yrs were those who could buy top players. Last new winners of the world cup was Spain 2010 and France 1998 when they both packed top players Next world cup the winner will still likely be between a select 7 teams. Brazil Argentina, France Spain Italy Germany maybe England. Regardless of who the coach is Flick took over Germany NT and crashed out at the world cup group stage |
