Currently, Nigeria is a disgrace unto itself and those supporting failure. |

May it never be well with APC, may APC be cursed and punished more than the devil in hell fire, may APC burn into shreds and become a monumental ash heap |

Fake stats If not that Tinubu is not proud. He will just make N1=$1 and Nigeria's GDP will overtake even US to become $79trn Who goes about calculating GDP in dollars if not enemies of the country who want to downgrade the good work of our lord and Master jagaban I think we should rename 2015 as the year of calamity |

Lol.... Nigeria is a great country and we will encourage more foreign investors to come and do business here. The more you people keep dragging this kind of news on people's FYPs to see, you are directly telling foreign investors who'd love to bring the changes you want, to look elsewhere. Then al you do is keep wailing. The US was in a trade war, their citizens never portray the country as a weak economy tonscare investors away. |

The swing between 2023 and 2024 was down to floating of Naira. We were never worth those figure in the years before 2023 (2022, 2021 ,... ) Uncle Bola once said we were living a fake good life, now we are living a bad fake life of infrastructural revolution. Infrastructures that are either unaffordable, redundant, or just plain white elephant projects for looting sake. |

Agboriotejoye:In terms of real output, our economic performance has not dropped since 2023. In fact, more businesses are making huge money and recording crazy profits. In Naira terms, our GDP has grown astronomically. Funny enough, when it comes to discussing national debt, hypocritical folks like this guy would argue that we should discuss in Naira terms since Naira is our reporting currency and not the USD but when it comes to discussing GDP, they switch quickly to the USD and ignore the Naira. Every sensible person knows that the fall in our USD GDP is basically an exchange rate valuation issue and has nothing to do with a drop in the real economic performance. If Tinubu decides to peg the exchange rate at $1/N450 today like Jonathan and Buhari did, our USD GDP will rise immediately to over $600billion. But then, will that add anything to the real performance? Only a person with a brain full of cow dungs would see the figures of our net foreign reserve and national indebtedness as at 2023 and still argue that we should have continue to borrow to subsidize both PMS and our currency. The era of that pure foolishness is over. Despite Argentinaβs GDP, why are they still borrowing to subsidize their currency? At a time Nigeriaβs net foreign reserve has jumped up to over $23 billion, Argentina with big paper value USD GDP is still running to IMF to get bailout loan of $20billion to subsidize their currency. As at today, Argentina is the most indebted country to IMF. Is that the ruinous path you all want our dear country to continue on? You want us to be using N99 out of every N100 revenue that we earn for debt servicing? Donβt you guys pity the country at all? |

How can a country for decades be exposed to serial idiotic leadership in a successive manner without a break if not the handiwork of the majority fools it subserves? What's the average IQ of those occupying that country's leadership positions, especially the strategic and decision-making positions? Can a country whose fools are of the majority ever make a headway in life? The answer is "NO" Therefore your prayer points remain an aberration to reflective exponential growth. |

JASONjnr:US citizens donβt need to market their country for investors to come in. The government and institutions are in place to ensure that. If Nigerian government and institutions do not put the country on a positive pedestal, no amount of marketing from the citizens will bring investors into the country. Investors have indices they look for before investing in a country or market. For you to know how US citizens talk about their government and leaders online, you need to expand your internet surfing horizon beyond nairaland, Nigerian X and explore other websites like quora, youtube etc. |

In summary: Yar'Adua added $80bn Jonathan added $274bn Wowzers! Buhari stole $100bn!! Chineke nna!! Tinubu has stolen $288bn so far!! In other words, Tinubu has deleted Elon Musk's networth from Nigeria in just 2 years

Both Argentina and Nigeria borrowed money However, the difference is always clear. The leadership issue is an important factor. Once you are a known failure, you are a monumental failure. Tinubu don't have any plan like Buhari hence simply promised to continue where the disaster stopped. Hence hired paid liars, propagandists and miscreants to falsify statistics |

WickedAfonja:Let me go further by saying that Tinubu has stolen everything Jonathan took 5 years to build in just 2 years!! Yet he's not done stealing... At this rate, Dangote will be worth more than Nigeria by the time this criminal is through. |

It is not the same Argentina that borrow $20 billion dollars to support their economy? Abeg make una dey use another country, if Nigeria decided to borrow that amount to keep the economy afloat, we for no hear word. |

Remarkable that there was a slow but steady rise of Nigeria's GDP until 2015 APC took over, it's been a fast decline ever since |

During 2014, Nigeria economy was higher than that of Argentina. Look at where we found ourselves after 11yrs bc of the stupid decision of people during elections |

Sheuns:Lol..... you can't compare the corruption in America with any African country but yet they don't bring themselves outside or in the media. Rather they point fingers at you while you feel it's okay to wash your dirty clothes outside for them to applaud you. There are killings and hunger and many people getting kicked out of their apartments because they couldn't afford it. There are lots of Americans pushing drugs...but they're not getting the media attention like Africans portray themselves. |

JASONjnr:So you think a so-called investors dont have all the information about Nigerian? ... You really think investors are fools? |
| Re: Two Decades Of Nigeria And Argentina GDP - StatiSense (Pics) by JASONjnr(m): 11:25pm On May 01, 2025 |
mrvitalis:For any investor to invest in a country, they usually visit the country and observe the market..... the hospitality and other key factors. E.g. weather and resources, etc But they don't do that anymore because you feed them off on social media. |

![]() All I am going to say now is that if we did what Argentina is doing now....sacking excess workers, freezing salaries, and cutting government spending overall, and totally removing all subsides, most Nigerians are not going to like it at all. Also, Argentina is a second world nation, and we are third world. Anyway, like I always say, our problem is...our gdp is tied to the oil price. Has always been. At the end of the day, we have to diversify our economy away from oil...to manufactured goods and services. |
