Niger state alone in the north is equal to the 5 South Eastern state. Southern lands are scarce and premium. Even village lands in south east are in millions. Not for the average poor. Wetin you wan come do for south if you no get money? I won’t advise. It’s the way it was made.

In my current street in same Owerri, a Yoruba man owns a supermarket and last year he bought the building.

You can't afford a plot of land and instead of you to admit you're too poor, you come to claim they refused to sell land to you.

It’s a fat lie, go to Owerri road in Ogui Enugu. Go to Hausa Quarters along Afikpo road in Abakaliki. They have properties dating back to 1970s. Travel and see, stop being in your village and be assuming.

To an average Northerner, people from the south is seen as an infidel, so acquiring property and raising family in the south is seen as haram, except for few upright thinking and educated among them. They will come here to hustle and go back to the north to buy land and build house.
