Alaigbo:Yoruba were handed presidency on a plater of Gold, let Nigeria replicate that in the six geo-political zones in Nigeria to ensure equity, there is nothing like southern president but Yoruba president. |

Odingo1:Ekwueme Alex contested and woefully lost. Same way with Ogbonnaya Onu who casted the 1 vote he got in APC primaries. You try your might by contesting. Buhari described them as dot in circle / 5 percenters. Tinubu said they will eat soaked bread in tea Both guys are winners so maybe they described them perfectly ![]() |

Power rotates in Nigeria between the North and South. The fact that at a particular point in time, some people were unable to retain what was theirs, for whatever reason, does not mean that others should acquiesce or relinquish their rights. In line with that rotation, Buhari did 8 years. It is now the turn of a Southerner to occupy it for 8 years, before it reverts to the North. Simple. |

Tinubu is trying to cajole the South to vote him as a southern President. His plans will not work. Even the South are suffering from Tinubu's incompetence. Besides, what has Tinubu done to warrant his reelection?

TonyeBarcanista:LOL !! Reality is no respecter of artistry or big big grammar Mr Tonye your postulation is an effort in futility cos of the " highlighted" Does it not bug you that from 1999 till 2023 that "IF" never happened, the only disruption between the North south rotation was yaradua The fact that other parties that discard the zoning pattern never won in 24yrs is a solid validation zoning exist |

BondRiv:Buhari ran against a Southerner to win. If yhe Southerner had won the story would have been different. APC North-South arrangement post-Buhari is solely APC affair. APC ticket in 2014 was never zoned to any region |

APC never zoned her ticket in 2015. It was thrown open, hence, you had a Southerner (Okorocha) as part of the aspirants. Nigeria didn't zone yhe presidency in 2015 to the North, APC defeated PDP... PDP members worked against the party because it failed to honor its own rotational arrangement. If GEJ had won the story would have been different! Let me ask, did you vote APC in 2015? theredaddy: |

Tonye , I think you are wrong by saying that ethnic don't matter of zoning. Pdp know they Bleep up. If they zone their ticket to the South East, particularly Peter Obi, they won't be in this mess now, either they win or loose. Pdp is dead. Mr tonye. Is better you kukuma decamp to Apc now that the transfer window is still open. ![]() |

TheChameleon:Keep on lying to yourself as if you don’t know that the primary was ceremonial to fulfill Inec requirement in 1999. Before the primary all the PDP delegates working committee agreed for Obasanjo. Ekwueme as the founder of PDP was giving BOT chairman, his participation is ceremonial. You Yorubas and Fulanis should keep on rotating the presidency among yourselves and gaslighting others, nothing last forever, where there is no equity it will destroy that country. |

TonyeBarcanista: Very naive ![]() As though the other small small parties can ever win presidency ![]() Rotational presidency was crafted by some of the most decerning minds the nation has ever had. And e get why. Meanwhile 4 + 4 =oo = PBAT 100% |

| Re: The Truth About Nigeria’s Presidential Rotations by BondRiv: 6:50pm On May 01, 2025 |
TonyeBarcanista:You are lost in the analysis of the past, while I'm speaking of present realities. Rotation was part of the reasons the Southerner also lost. Any party that fields a Northerner in 2027 will lose. I don't make useless analysis. Some of us understand what we comment on. APC will just be handed victory on a platter. |
| Re: The Truth About Nigeria’s Presidential Rotations by TonyeBarcanista(op): 6:54pm On May 01, 2025 |
Krismas:Those who conceived it did so for their parties. PDP did theirs in 2006, APC did theirs in 2022... It's for them! |
| Re: The Truth About Nigeria’s Presidential Rotations by Odingo1: 6:55pm On May 01, 2025 |
TonyeBarcanista:Why are you pretending as if don’t know how things work in Nigeria, this is the problem of Nigerians, they never say the truth but carry religion for head. APC and PDP before each primaries have already zone the presidency at background of who the delegates will vote for to emerge others are just ceremonial participants. If not tell one of these primaries that have produce a contested primary we’re the winner will have like 200 vote and runners up 195 to show that primary was not rigged or predetermined before the day of conducting the primaries. Let us be telling ourselves the truth, the presidency in Nigeria is a Rotation between Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis and that is why Yorubas never supported Jonathan presidency and later gang up and boot him out. Can someone from North Central win primaries in Northern Rotation or Yorubas support another southern candidate in the turn of Southern Rotation ![]() |
| Re: The Truth About Nigeria’s Presidential Rotations by TonyeBarcanista(op): 6:59pm On May 01, 2025 |
BondRiv:Your talk is pedestrian. Why didn't 'Southerners' lose in 2011 when PDP suspended their rotational agreement to accommodate Jonathan on the basis on one term? Why did it happen in 2015 when Jonathan flouted the agreement which led to mass exodus from the party and sabotage? Every party is bound by their own internal arrangement. APC never zoned to North in 2015, it was left open. APC only zoned to South In 2022 after they adopted North-South arrangement. Every party is responsible for marketing their choices. PS: As at today, no political party has what it takes to unseat Tinubu in 2027 irrespective of who they field. I don't know of tomorrow but TODAY! |
