The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a revised pricing structure for its services and products, marking the first adjustment in over a decade. This change, which takes effect immediately, is aimed at aligning service costs with current operational realities and industry standards.

According to a statement issued by the Commission, the new fee structure seeks to uphold the quality and integrity of NIMC's identity services, while maintaining affordability and accessibility for all Nigerians. The Commission emphasized that the review was necessary to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of its services.

NIMC has directed all Front-End Partners (FEPs) to strictly adhere to the updated pricing. Any FEP found charging above the approved rates will face strict penalties, including possible revocation of licenses.

“NIMC is committed to protecting the interests of Nigerians and ensuring that our services are delivered at fair and transparent prices,” the Commission stated.

The new rates will be available on NIMC’s official website at www.nimc.gov.ng to ensure public accessibility and transparency.

NIMC has also called on the public to report any cases of overcharging by Front-End Partners. Complaints can be submitted to the inspectorate and enforcement unit via email at ieu@nimc.gov.ng or by calling 08155015388.

Meanwhile, the Director General and CEO of NIMC, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support in strengthening the National Identity Database (NIDB). She also acknowledged the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, harmonization partners, management, and staff of NIMC for their dedication to building a robust national identity system.
