Let's speak boldly now, our brothers from the southern part of the country contributed to this, You will do Yahoo steal pensioners and sick people's money, then spend the money on alcohol and bitches, buy Benz, our leaders too are complicit, a country where electricity is luxury.

Let's be honest: isn't it unfortunate for one to have a green passport?

We can do something about it by pushing for independence for nations in Nigeria, but many think that Nigeria as it is is better than what their own independent country could offer them. Just imagine a Yoruba country without all the hang-ons tribes, our passport will be so powerful, none other will be close to it in Africa. But we have allowed Nigeria to drag and set us back 100 years.

Very inspiring I almost want to start using my Naija passport to travel to other countries..

Even with a US or UK passport, they still recognize our names and often see the Country of Origin...and still discriminate. That tells me that our diplomats are either useless or not entirely useful. You need to ask citizens to document all these things and submit them. You need to prioritize this when receiving new ambassadors ...how can we make it easier for our citizens to enter and leave your country? We need numbers for our diplomats to call for backup when denied entry.

Our diplomats only work to collect salaries and to help themselves, their families, and friends gain access. Sadly, you are ON YOUR OWN for the rest of the citizens.

I read every word, would have still read more if there was. I have never traveled out of Nigeria, still, I identify with this. It sounded a lot poetic, yet beautifully pieced together.

I love the strong willed nature of the writer, and I think that as Nigerians every waking day is a struggle on it own. A struggle to be, be noticed, be something more, be better, and yes, to prove that we too matter.

I have no other country but Nigeria, this is my country, and so I must wear it with pride. I can only hope that some day, even if not in my lifetime, perhaps that of my yet to be born children, that Nigerians be treated as a people, with dignity and respect. No external drama, but just as an equal.

My experience at Kenya and UAE border in 2021 is a sad one that will be part of me till my last breath, imagine traveling with over 20 other African nationals with green passports as myself but I alone will be pull aside for questioning and thorough checkings.

Dear God, hear my prayers, I need me a stronger passport before I clock the age of 40🙏🏽

And yet some people are still continuing making the Nigeria passport to look weak by their criminal activities outside the country
Absolutely! Cultists clash in Dubai and Malaysia. That Silent Puppy they caught in Dubai..very big criminal fraudster. In the US recently, they even caught a Nigerian monarch who defrauded the US of millions in conjuction with a Nigerian pastor! It doesn't ven help when the leadership are criminals too. Ex-convicts and alleged fraudsters as governors and principal staff in the national assembly. Do you know we even have a president who was.....

Anyway, enjoy your weak passport

A criminal president with all sorts of drug running history, is the biggest shame to any country and her passport..
Go and verify ..
But Nigerians have been having worst experiences at entry ports and embassies decades before the so-called drug master (yet to be proved) got into office. It's only getting better now.

Nice one. Nigeria shall be great again. Come 2027, we pray for a leader who is pro-masses and would not be president and also a business man at the same time showing interest in the oil and gas, dragging it with key players. We also pray for a fraud-free leader, devoid of controversial past that's capable of defacing our passport, which is our pride. Amen!
An amusing allusion in all ramifications: A president and business man in office, dragging oil contract bizness with oil players. Haaaaaaaa. U talk am well.

Same thing happened to me in UAE. I was even given free DU Sim card by Emirates. Also invitation to Burj Khalifa and Dubai cruise dinner. At every point of entry, my invitations and my passport were always rechecked by officials thinking it was given in error. I was randomly picked at the airport after custom clearance. I arrived with my family and my sisters using emirate airline.
Meanwhile, US trip humbled me but i still love my Nigerian passport.
