How will the graduates be employable when there is no chance and incentives to improve themselves!

Nigeria values certificate abroad then anything else but the tuition fee it's very expensive!!!

These days the abroad certificate is as useless as the Nigerian ones. People are just leaving the country not that they are really interested in the school. Most of them managed to graduate. Let's assume Nigeria gets better tomorrow and everyone starts returning home, most of those abroad people won't be able to use their certificates because "na pass and 3rd class full there."

Please can you tell us the number of available jobs in Nigeria?

Rich parents would still pay for their kids without bathing an eyelids. Go to top secondary schools in Nigeria and see how the UK universities are "cashing " out from some "ignorant" rich parents during school's career days and "study abroad " events. These universities will sell non existent "opportunities" to parents and tell them of numerous opportunities that abound after their wards must have finished their studies in their universities. With the hopelessness some parents have about the future prosperity of Nigeria, most would key into the promises made by the foreign universities and pay the hefty sums. At the end, the child would start struggling to land the lowest of the jobs in UK. Those unfortunate to get anything would return home to come back to their parents, waiting for their parents to use connections to place them into any juicy government agencies or private sector.

Most UK schools don’t truly offer scholarships. They inflate the tuition, then give a “discount” called a scholarship, which only brings the cost back to the original fee. It’s misleading . When you think you’re getting partial funding, but you’re still paying a hefty amount.

My take: if it’s not a full scholarship, don’t fall for it. It’s just a well-packaged illusion.

As funny as it sounds, that's actually correct, cos if you multiply the tuition fees by 3 years minimum that's about N96m on tuition alone, the student would spend about N200m to graduate from an average UK school..

But I am definitely sure that the target audience are those who can afford it. The exchange rate is the major issue, not like the school fof Nigeria, it's really not a lot of money.

We are talking about a fresh BSC,most them just went to school because of societal pressure,they don’t know what they are doing

You are very right. We have been looking for just an accounting clerk in our office for the past 6 months now but we couldn't find. We have employed 2 accounting graduates for the position but unfortunately we have to move them to customer service coz they couldn't even do the job.

If your company is unable to fill an ordinary accountant role then it must be one if those yeye one man company looking for 10 years experience with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CFA and then offering N150k per month.

Ofcourse no one would take such an offer.

How many chartered accountants do we have in Nigeria. Both living and the dead from ICAN inception are not up to 80k which is not enough to service both public and private sector. Remember every establishment needs accountants.

Don't waste your money to study in the UK. Apart from being too expensive, you'll be restricted to only 20 hours of work and most of them are very bad jobs.

I hope Nairaland have verified this company/agent as genuine.
I believe if interested speak to the agent and hear what the offer entails , payment plan and advise.
Where there is a will there is a way. No be only rich man pikin dey go overseas to school now.
I also saw an advert of full international scholarship from PTDF I think, but it's a government agency. Don't say only rich or ppl who have connections get it. If you don't try how will you know.

I can't buy that Iran narration except you can convince me more. A foreigner wouldn't go to Iran to study except neighboring Arab countries like Yemen, Syria, Palestinian etc... coming to Iran to study. Iran is a police state just like North Korea. If you are from Africa or Western world, you will hardly get admitted cos of the scrutiny and questions you will be expose to in n the first place.
