Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan may have just dealt a blow to her own credibility after publicly claiming she doesn’t know Dr. Sandra C. Duru—despite mounting evidence suggesting otherwise.

In a fiery Facebook livestream on May 1st, Dr. Duru, also known online as “Prof. Mgbeke,” exposed alleged voice recordings and WhatsApp chats linked to a phone number registered to Senator Natasha. Truecaller identification and the familiar voice in the clips make the denial all the more baffling.

“How can she say she doesn’t know me when her own number called me and we chatted at length?” Duru asked, presenting screenshots and audio as proof.

The leaked content allegedly shows Senator Natasha attempting to rope Duru into backing a damaging and fabricated organ harvesting accusation against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Despite Natasha’s post claiming she didn’t know Duru, the evidence suggests otherwise. In the calls, the Senator allegedly:

Offered N200 million to Duru to participate in a fake organ harvesting allegation.

Admitted to paying Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, FIDA, and others to create media noise and legal pressure, going to obstruct the Senate Committee proceedings.

Outlined her anti-Tinubu agenda, plotting with opposition figures to destabilize the current government.

Begged Duru to “just support the cause”, even when Duru declined.

Shifted into romantic advances after being rejected politically, sending flirty and inappropriate messages in a bid to win her over personally.


Truecaller showed the number as Natasha’s. Her voice was unmistakable. Screenshots of their private chats reveal long threads of manipulation, emotional blackmail, and power games.

“You can’t fake all this,” Duru said. “She called me, begged, bribed, confessed, and when I refused, she turned around and denied ever knowing me? That’s cowardice and treachery.”

If true, it not only discredits her but exposes a disturbing level of manipulation.

With mounting public scrutiny, Natasha’s blanket denial looks more like calculated deceit than an honest mistake. As Duru aptly put it: “You can’t discredit someone holding all the receipts.”

She's too naive to be a Nigerian politician. Ever since this saga started, she has been the only one running from pillar to pillar. She has thrown her punches in the public and they are nowhere effective. From making sexual allegation with no evidence, to running mad in the chambers, to paying for interviews on foreign TV stations, to paying crowd for some nonsense PR, now making serious allegations without proof again. They are watching her and noticing her mistakes and weakness. The recall process is a small thing, na Yahyah Bello dey run that one on him own. Akpabio and the APC hasn't thrown any punch. Tinubu too will throw his own because she tried to manipulate the impeachment of Akpabio - which is an indirect threat to his Presidency. When they are ready to strike, I swear, Jesus self go pity her.

I'm enjoying the show though. This is another avenue for Nigerian youths to learn about manipulation and power dynamics. But no, majority are too invested emotionally.

Pettiness is not equal to ruthlessness. She's going to learn.

Not news. i don't know this lady or her credibility but Reuben Abati's response on arisetv showed he either respects or fears her. We all know Natasha Akpos has no credibility and is a serial blackmailer.

A former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and incumbent Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, was on Friday arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

PREMIUM TIMES investigation shows that Mr. Akpabio was taken in by EFCC operatives at about 5.20 pm.
He was said to have been accompanied a few aides and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Ricky Tarfa.

An aide to the former governor, who cannot be named because he is not authorised to speak on the matter told PREMIUM TIMES that Mr. Akpabio is currently being interrogated by top officials of the EFCC.

An EFCC source confirmed the development.

“He was brought in at about 5.20 pm accompanied by a few aides and Mr. Rickey Tarfa,” the source said.
“It is not yet known whether he will be allowed to go this night. It depends on how the interrogation goes.”
