He was actually good tonight but there were moments were his defensive lapses showed where he didn't judge the position of the opponent very well. Although he used his pace to save his blushes.

Against a fast transition team like Inter we'll suffer with those minute glitches in defence. Flick really needs to forget about this overly high line defence. It's a problem against smart and well drilled teams with pacy attacking players.

The debate between Martin and Hector should end today. Flick is right, Hector is behind Martin in the pecking order.
Hector cannot win aerial duels, cannot win a tackle without committing a foul.
He doesn't have pace to track back. Very very bad on one on one defending. Dem dey dribble him like say he be statue🗿

Omo, after today match. I no argue with Flick again. Na Baba know wetin him eye see.

My only problem with Flick this season is on Pablo Torre's matter. Dude is wat more talented to be almost freezed out and players like Pau Victor and Fati that were almost erased from the team continue to get chances to prove themselves when they've continued to disappoint time and again.

He should be groomed for that Olmo and Fermin Lopez position next season as a must to build squad depth. Olmo and Fermin with their inconsistencies isn't healthy going forward and Olmo always injured seems not to really push Fermin to do more to improve cos the position is almost his with little competition from Gavi.

Pablo Torre issue is just that he tires quickly especially when started. From 70mins his tempo and game massively drops. But I think he's somewhat found the lungs to keep up with high stakes game with his recent performances compared to earlier during the season.

Didn't think I will also stress over this game but I was stressed 😫 😅

Well, lots of rotations. No dynamism between the players that played.

But in the end we got the 3 pionts we needed and if Real Madrid fail to win tomorrow, we could win the league by beating them at the Montjuïc on the 11th.

Ansu Fati hooked at half time. I think that's the end for him. Very poor performance against an already relegated side. Yes he had a good shot saved but he was too static at other times.

I hope some of Una dey see the usefulness of keeping some players and profiles in the team for depth despite their struggles.

I remember earlier during the season almost everybody dey shout to sell Eric Garcia and Ferran Torres. Hope Una dey see where dem dey useful.
You can't expect to have a first eleven and bench that is equally matched.
Funny enough, this season Barca has had the best balanced starting XI team vs bench quality in the last decade. It clearly shows in the midfield. With players who are almost equally matched in quality but with some uniqueness in profile and efficiency.

The only clear chart topper in midfield is Pedri the difference maker. De Jong and Marc Casado ain't so much very different very in terms of quality. But they play differently. Same with Fermin and Olmo. It's the level of technicality that differentiates these players. Same as Gavi and Casado.

It's only in attack and defence where we seem to have this shortage in close quality.

That's why I value players like Feran Torres and Garcia. Una dey see how injuries and other circumstances have made them valuable. Even Garcia gets playing time pass a whole Araujo wey be starter a season ago.

This is why I advocate for profiles and technical stats more over whether a player is good, average or not. Na total bum I dey strongly against when you're not particularly good in ANYTHING.

Torres and Garcia have shown their VALUE. I'm hoping we use this mentality to incorporate Alex Valle next season. After all he's our player. Not much stress than incorporating a total carpenter and outsider like Martin.

Injury is part of the game.. Pedri can be injured in training even before we travel to Italy. In La Liga his destiny is in his hands because we're at the top. Unlike UCL where anything can happen.

I remember one season where we nearly replicated arsenal's invincible record in the league only for the coach to bench key players against Levante and we lost that match

I nearly swear for Ernesto Valverde that year. Levante dey score a whole 5 goals against Barca. We wey get the least goal conceded that season. Way better than Atletico sef. We were defensively solid.

That loss really pain me.

Its only if the suspension is more than 4 games that it can span multiple competitions in Spain. In this case, Lucas red card earned him only 2 game suspension, so he’ll only serve it in the copa

Oga calm down, you do not hold any more stake than the average fan...The changes to the starting 11 was too much with a lot of players who have not started together or have enough game time to get up to speed.

Some of these guys should see more game time so that when called up, they will not be found wanting. I'd love to see Fati for instance play more with the established first team on the pitch.

I didn't mean to be disrespectful....i apologise if I sounded that way.

It just gets to me when people throw words around like saying a professional coach lacks common sense. We can all say what we think it's good for the team but the coach is the one with the players who knows their capacity.

Almost everything we have criticised flick for has turned to hunt us. Is it our choice of Hector over Gerrard mumu. We just saw yesterday why Gerrard Martin as terrible as he is, is far better than Fort. Is it the choice of starting Ferran ahead of Olmo? Both options failed.

I am just saying that no matter what we feel, we shouldn't say things that are disrespectful to the coach. It pains me to hear it.

Can you analyze this back four for me..

Araujo_Christensen_Cubarsi_Inigo.

Araujo at right back would be better than Eric considering the fact that he is physical and energetic and also aggressive. He can stop counters coming from the flanks since that's how we usually concede.

I'm not too comfortable with Eric at that possible although he starting won't be bad.

Eric can come in for Cubarsi since he is on a yellow.
