National Security adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has said that Nigeria has recorded over 90 percent improvement in terms insecurity under President Bola Tinubu administration.

Mr Ribadu stated this in Jos, Plateau State while briefing the press shortly after a meeting with the Commander of Operation Safe Haven, Major General Folusho Oyinlola at his office, following a gunmen attack on Bokkos community that left hundreds of residents killed.

According to him, President Tinubu administration will not relent in its efforts at ensuring peace and security in the country.

“In the last 1-year-ten-months, violent deaths have been reduced probably by over 90 percent in our country. We have the statistics, in 2022 and 2023 those who lost their lives as a result of extreme violence in the country has reduced,” Mr Ribadu disclosed.

The NSA stressed that a lot of bad people have been arrested and are undergoing investigations. “I can assure you that justice will be done, those who are found responsible will be prosecuted, we are doing it across the country.

“This Government has prosecuted close to 2,000 terrorists and we have got many convictions; we will not relent, we are serious, we are honest about what we are doing, we will do it to the best of our ability,” he said.

Jeeez these kidnappers are really making huge amount from their criminal activities this is why it will be very difficult for kidnapping to end in nigeria. Other kidnappers will be motivated after hearing about this successful kidnapping operation.

It's just like when bokoo Haram started in the North, people were not talking because they weren't in the region, now it's widely spread and now we are all being affected by it. Mrs Olakunrin died of gunshot wounds in July 2019 after her vehicle was attacked by armed men, suspected to be marauding Fulani bandits whose violent activities had reached a frightening level across the southwest states.


Those arrested suspects include Lawal Mazaje, 40, from Felele area of Kogi State; Adamu Adamu, 50, from Jada area of Adamawa State; Mohammed Usman, 26, from Illela area of Sokoto State and Auwal Abubakar, 25, from Shinkafi area of Zamfara State....

However, the leader of the team, identified only as Tambaya, and three others are yet to be found.

Tambaya has been declared wanted by the police and he is said to be capable of communicating in Hausa, Fulfude and Pidgin English.

The press should stop calling such large numbers, they are one of the speculators helping this kidnapping business to thrive. Just by reading this news with the amount stated, it will motivate another set of kidnappers to want to also up their demand.

The press owe it as a responsibility to be responsible. The message could still have been past if they had just stated that ransom was paid.

Now let’s think critically and be objective,subsidies are meant for the masses to enjoy but how do you explain a rich man move around in convoy of about 10 vehicles while you and I drive around in one or no car and that man is enjoying subsidized fuel on needless fleet,take it or leave it that here in Lagos the number of such needless convoys have reduced since the removal of subsidy on petrol.on electricity,a rich man in lekki will pay the same tariff as an average man in VI but cos of his high consumption and disparity in electricity band and tariff the distributors will decide to supply them more at the expense of the poor man that consumes less and on a lower tariff band.they even travel with bonused electricity on in their houses for period because of subsiised tariff.no more subsidies now and most of them are runing on solar with rationing when there is electricity supply because of the bill and now there is good supply for someone like me on the mainland where I now get average of 20hrs supply or more.
The point is that the idea of subsidy is about rubbing the poor to finance the flamboyant life of the rich.
