When the government or anyone knows the source of your raw material, you won't survive it.

Dangote will eventually sell this refinery to Tinubu if not, he won't recover from it. Buhari inspired him to build this refinery with the promise that he will still be in control of power by proxy after installing Tinubu but they underrated jagaban and now Jagaban wants his own cut from the refinery. If you share profit with Buhari and Tinubu, nothing will be left for the man. Building refinery in a place like Nigeria is just a mistake. The worst is, the price of the output is monitored and regulated to an extent. The raw materials are also monitored and regulated. That business won't survive. If only he has options of raw materials but importing crude is not cheap either because, every country prefer to sell finished product not raw material.

Only and good president will save Dangote refinery. However, I still don't support the monopoly.

A good president will encourage more refineries in Nigeria and ban export of Crude oil completely.

Nigeria must only export finished products

It's funny cause he says this while trying to bully all fuel marketers out of business.

It wouldn't surprise me if Dangote decided to sell the multi million dollars firm. Political instability is not good for business, although it can be harnessed to generate money sometimes but not all the time. I wish Dangote refinery remain flourishing.

keep on fighting, as Nigerians we are also fighting for our own survival.

the monster your guys created is now fully grown hunting y'all.
we can see how he fought cement after monopolizing it.

Cement became unreachable to common Nigerians.
This is the fight I believe Dangote wants to fight and win.

As always Nigerians don't learn from history. they will fall for his tricks and when he succeeds, Nigerians will start crying over high prices.

What about the other by products from the production?
Does Dangote throw it away?

Ajalalomo:
What is the cost of producing one liter of oil?

The cost plus other fees would be more than the 200 naira you propose.

Sir, you want monopoly?
Re: Dangote: I'm Still Fighting For The Survival Of My Refinery by NwokoloOwa: 8:58am On May 05, 2025
For that thing.

You are a mafia yourself. The supreme head of the cement cartel that has held Nigeria down for over 2 decades.

You just want to navigate to the top to enable reasonable control of the downstream sector. That's all.

Says the same Man who sold cement cheaper in Cameroon than Nigeria.
With monopolies on alot of sectors in Nigeria, he wants the same Monopoly in oil and gas..
The current government is no more giving him the 100% access to government resources he was enjoying In the last 25 years of Nigeria.

He is as ruthless to Nigerians like the current government. He should not disturb our ears with crocodile complaints...

I guess competition is forcing dangote to drop prices against the will of independent marketers cos he has advantage over them and those ones are fighting back too.
I do not want to admit that landing cost of local refined pms is 835 even with naira for crude oil deal while imported one is 870 with all the forex bottlenecks, dangote can do better cos crude oil we refine here should not be more than 600 per liter.
Agbado talk, don't you know crude is sold at same rate worldwide. It ain't cheap and Bonny light crude oil price is higher because it's sweet crude. They're checking mating each other, when last did you hear IPMAN scream about dangote oil price?
Naira for dollar is same price 🤷, only forex is cancelled out 👌

It's when his stupid refinery started work that government increased fuel from N550 to N1200

In most oil producing countries around d world, WATER is more expensive than PETROL.
Another beer parlour analysis. You don't even understand forex, floating of Naira and subsidy .

Does Dangote throw it away?
The answer is NO. The by-products are refined and used as raw materials to produce products like diesel, kerosene, and some other products, or sold to other companies that use it in manufacturing products.

After you factor in the revenue generated from the by-product, the cost of producing one liter of oil in Nigeria will be more than 200 naira.

How much is NNPC selling a liter or barrel of crude oil to Dangote? I don’t know the actual price, but it will be more than 200 naira per liter.

Also look at the cost of energy in this country. In Nigeria, some companies have stopped operations due to the high cost of energy.

Look at the cost of energy from a consumer perspective. The cost of electricity to power a house is more than the national minimum wage pay to entry level workers by state and federal governments.

Why can't you mention their names, so that we can know the cabals. Abi nag ghost them be?
Petroleum importers, ioc's and tank farm owners(Shafa, Rano, Mobil, Total, NNPC, 11plc
), e no hard bro🤷 cheesy wink grin
It's tank farm owners that are collecting the heat more, it's empty and useless now, some are still paying back loans on money used for constructing it. Millions of dollars wasting and trust iron to start rusting wink, lots of tanker ship are now useless. The refinery really spoilt things for those businesses, it's a new dawn bro.

Dangote refinery gave birth to fresh set of billionaires that quickly aligned their self with the refinery. Notably MRS, Ardova , Hayden, Optima. This station prices are lower than NNPC 👌💯
Na money dey yab man, I for align with the latest product from the refinery which polyethylene (PE)

Burkina Faso was colonized by France, same way we were colonized by the British and still submits to them.

Do you know that till today, Nigeria still exports crude oil, have you wondered why?
Because the refinery is owned by the British and that is the only way they can keep benefitting from Nigeria, that was the agreement for Nigeria's Independence.

Burkina Faso President has been able to take that one big step of cutting off and chasing the enslaving France from their country bringing more development in just two years.
Burkina Faso has gold, The President chased the French people out of thecountry's gold reserve.
Do you know what France replied, "the said they were reserving the gold for their people"

Meanwhile, there was no good roads, houses, hospitals, etc. In short, the people's wealth were taken away while they suffered because of their corrupt leaders.

Do you ask why he was able to win the so called coup? Because the people were tired of suffering.
Now, the President has made all education is free, Free hospitals to pregnant women - He said women don't have to pay to bring life to the world.
The have an airline now, and he is still bettering the life of it's citizens.

The white people are trying to use the news to give him a bad name so they can justify their actions for trying to kill him.
So, after chasing France away, what has happened?. I don't even want to talk about the bullshit you said about Britain owing our refineries, shows how shallow you are.

Keep up the fight.

We need such competitive market in oil and gas industry. NNPC has almost finished us with constant fuel scarcity and price increases.. . For the first time depot criminals and marketers that hoard fuel are complaining that they're losing money as hoarding no dey pay again

The fight must continue, that way we will be seeing fuel prices coming down from stiff competition.

Sorry, do you have a working refinery in your countryhuh

Apart from Dangote Refinery that they are seriously fighting, your country's refinery isn't working.

Nigeria exports Crude oil to get it processed and buys it back as fuel.
I don't need to be telling you this.

They'll keep fighting Dangote because these so called powerful people of the country benefit from the exports and imports.
Re: Dangote: I'm Still Fighting For The Survival Of My Refinery by franvincoop: 12:00pm On May 05, 2025
No be me talksay 200 naira per litre dey alright for Dangote.
Check wella na that other fella.
My own na say Dangote can do better and e no wetin e suppose do than to dey sound like broken record.
Make im drop price to 650-700 naira per litre, all those importers go bankrupt with immediate effect.
But na Dangote no go gree do am, not because im no go get profit selling at 650-700 naira but because marketers go dey profit pass am the manufacturer.
I'll explain, due to devaluation, 700 naira is about 300 cfa meanwhile station pump price per litre in Cameroon and Chad is 800 cfa per litre which is around 2200 naira per litre.
Imagine the increase in profit margin for marketers, the decrease in profit for Dangote and the shortage Nigeria will face if Dangote starts selling at 650-700 naira per litre.
Dangote is caught between the devil and the deep blue sea and should choose one of them.
Mindful that I called them marketers, not smugglers because the sector has been liberalised and subsidy is gone, so no one is smuggling anything.
This is Dangotes dilemma, decline in sales but bigger profit via competition with importers of petrol or decline in profit but bigger sales with exporters of petrol.
When Dangote makes up his mind he will choose one and we will also know which he has chosen.
But my 6th sense dey tell me say Dangote is waiting for the naira to appreciate before taking action but the question is will the naira ever go back to atleast 1000 NGN to a Dollar?
I think not, but maybe in 2031
