IN MEMORY OF PRESIDENT UMARU MUSA YAR'ADUA: 15 YEARS AFTER

Fifteen years ago, our nation lost a patriot. A servant leader, with whom I shared a common vision for a united, inclusive and a just nation.

President Yar’Adua’s life was defined by service and selflessness. His account of stewardship, whether as a teacher, governor or president, was guided by hard work, patriotism, accountability, commitment to justice and adherence to the rule of law.

As President, Yar’Adua carried with him the burden of reconciling our people, fostering unity and mobilising citizens across the land towards building a nation of justice, peace and progress.

His tenure, although short, was impactful and progressive, a moment we remember for selfless service and deep commitment to the public good.

Fifteen years after his passing, he continues to stand as a reference for good leadership and a legacy of impact, peace and accountability.

Today, I celebrate my friend, brother and boss for his exemplary and sacrificial life of service, his genuine efforts in nation building, and his dedication to fostering an inclusive democracy anchored on justice, equity and national unity.

Fifteen years on, Nigeria still mourns one of its finest — and I still remember a friend whose quiet wisdom helped shape my understanding of service.

President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua led with conviction, not commotion. He listened more than he spoke — and when he did speak, it was with purpose, not politics.

His legacy reminds us that leadership is not about power, but about duty, humility, and justice.

May Almighty Allah (SWT) continue to grant him a place among the righteous in Al Jannah Firdaus. Ameen.

The true leader Nigeria never had. He came and proferred a lasting solution to insecurity in the oil and gas sector. His economic reforms which Jonathan didn't leverage upon was top-notch.
Unfortunately, leaders of today dwell on lies, propaganda and pecuniary interests in the oil and gas business, protecting their investments. Tinubu is a president cum businessman. Which good leader does that and there would be no loss of concentration? Let's see if those gullible Nigerians will make same mistake come, 2027.
Tinubu will manage the economy while shettima (boko haram founder) will manage security. We can see end-results of their expertise today. Lies don't move any nation forward, history tells me so.

The man was a blessing

Yaradua is a proof that you don't need donkey years to fix a nation . He came when crude oil price was all time low and in the midst of great world economic crisis in 2008 which was almost the same has the 1928 great depression. Yet it was during his government in history that the price of commodity were reduced (PMS came down to 50 Naira from 65 , USD was traded at 80-95 Naira from 120 Narai) and we have a marginal increase in our economy, he solved the Niger-Delta crisis without causing tribal tension, he was faithful to the extent that he fault the electoral process that brought him in and.
Truly truly Better thing no dey last. Continue to rest the best president since Nigeria independence.
I wish the clueless government in ASO rock could learn from his manifesto and economy policies on how he managed Nigeria without overwhelming loan , no subsidy removal yet Nigeria was one of the greatest and strongest economy during his time. Then we are among top 10 in the world and 1st in Africa
