The problem is not even American movies.
Asian Pacific which is the target here don't watch American movies that much. Every year, the number is decreasing. They prefer their local contents.
The koko is the streaming platforms. These companies are reaching out to their English audience through America almost free. So companies like Netflix can't compete with them. Netflix don't come close to what they offer so people are fast subscribing to them and ditching Netflix. As long as you love asian Pacific dramas, you have no business with Netflix. Also they are so cheap unlike Netflix. Netflix projected gain from like 5 years and above from these countries featuring their movies and dramas but they have already cornered Netflix. So instead of gaining, Netflix will start losing if something is not done.
I subscribe to the platforms in question and I know exactly what is happening here.
