RandomFellow:yiibos wey don Dey claim Lagos? Calling it no man’s land? Yiibos and Fulani are no different, they both land grabbers going everywhere claiming people land, now they are trying to give it legitimate backing by sponsoring a bill to be indigenes in other peoples land ![]() But here they are against Fulani buying land in Igbo land but they want do have same right in other region, is that not hypocrisy? |

ProudlyLagos:I don't know about you, but some of my best clients and friends are Yorubas. We banter and laugh, no enmity. Friendly jibes. And when Igbos call Lagos mans land, do you seriously take them serious? People that travel to their village for Christmas, burial, new yam festival, etc?? That's not even my point. I don't even have strength to type what's on my mind. |

osuofia2:They claim to be indigenes? Go to Afikpo to understand what I'm saying. They'll probably overrun that town within 30-50 years |

RandomFellow:why must they even call someone’s ancestry land with customs and traditions no man’s land? And yes they are serious when they make those inciting statements. This has breed so much bad blood between the 2 tribe and I’m sure you won’t also take it lightly when some refer to your ancestral land as no man’s land. I as an indigene of Lagos find it so disrespectful to my heritage and except you want to lie to yourself, most of your ibo brothers have always coveted Lagos and wish they could annex it. |

ProudlyLagos:That's unfair, and unreasonable if it's not a friendly banter. But do they own indigeneship certificate? Or Lagos state of Origin certificate? Do they make deals with politicians to influence who becomes a LGA chairman? Or Governor? If what I'm talking about in the South East happens... Do you think SS is safe? SW? They'll come for the rest of us if they succeed in weakening us by division. They already succeed in dividing SS from SE. Pathetic |

RandomFellow:well most of them are just saying it to taunt the Yorubas my referring to Lagos as no man’s land but that has been the genesis of the problem of igbos in Lagos. Thought I’m not in support of Fulani owning land outside there region but they are Nigerian too and enjoy the same privileges as the rest of us. |

ProudlyLagos:If an Igbo man buys a land in Oyo or Kebbi, they don't claim that place as their state of origin. If a yoruba man buys a land in Abuja or Benue, they don't claim the place as their state of Origin. If a fulanis man buys a land in Abuja, Niger or even Ebonyi... Their kids claim the place as their state of origin. Do you now understand my worry? I have a friend; originally from Kebbi state (I don't even know if that was their original state of Origin). Her dad moved to Nasarawa; a local government in Nasarawa state (like 30-35 years now; not so sure) where she was born. She takes Nasarawa as her state of Origin, while her elder brother takes Bauchi as his own state of Origin (where he was born). They mostly see Nigeria as a conquered territory; hence the reason we should stop that mindset for them |

when Benjamin Kalu, was advocating for indigine through property acquisition and numbers of years spent in a state, I don't think he thought of this, he was only thinking about our brothers in Lagos. If Hausa -Fulani become president na that bill he go first approved, then our brothers will turn to west and start blaming them FuglyGurl: |

osuofia2:Oga land acquisition in this context is not a purchase of land let us not be dense here. The traditional ruler knows fully well if there was a cash acquisition of land, clearly he would have said so in the write up and he knows who to hold. |

Believeintruth:Traditional rulers in Obingwa LGA have petitioned the Abia State Government to halt the ongoing land transactions. But our efforts have been ignored, this continues to threaten the people and raising fears of impending violence. Traditional rulers are the people at the rural communities, the government should give urgent attention to any report from us because we feel the pain. We are the eye of the government in our communities.” Some of the people who spoke at the town hall meeting alleged that some traditional rulers in the areas are behind the massive acquisition of lands by herders and urged the government to stop the practice of registering massive lands in the communities without investigating land use. |

There are about 10 million Fulanis in Nigeria of population more than 200 million. Rest of Nigeria must be sleeping on duty if Fulani can take away people's land through force. This traditional ruler of Okahia must be sleeping on duty instead of organising the youths of Okahia to flush out the Fulani herdsmen from his domain. Enough of these cries about Fulani herdsmen. If 10 million Fulani can organise themselves and sack the more than 210 million others from their lands and acquire the lands, so be it. . |

yarimo:Your hatred for the IGBOS will kill you and your generation. Show me any part of the nation, where the IGBOS have massively acquired land and use it against against their host community. This is where the IGBOS are different from any other tribe in Nigeria in land acquisition. Hope you are happy with what is happening now in Benue, Kwara and Plateau States? Nonsense. |

FuglyGurl:The fulanis, will never have access to that kind of land without the knowledge of the government and some insiders. The Youths in that area, should do a thorough investigation and the culprits will be picked. |

They committed no crime if they legally acquired the land... This is what we want let them come and buy land and do whatever legitimate business they want to do.. I do not see any security threat whatsoever cos we know where they are n reside so it's not a problem.... We know where to find them... |

RandomFellow:Those Fulani men acquired the land lawfully. So, I don't know what covert war you're talking about. Yoruba people in the South West also think the Igbos are fighting a covert war against them to take over Lagos. |

olyrayy:It's not everything you'll see in the news. Do a little digging of your own; make friends with people from all over the country. Ask questions and you'll understand why people are wary of their presence in a community; especially when they are new migrants. **There's a reason Nigerians rejected Buhari's Ruga, farm settlements, etc. Try to read wide, and you'll get the point |
