Veteran journalist , Jimi Disu popularly known as Uncle Jimi has criticized Bola Tinubu stressing that he lack the capacity and mindset for good leadership. Disu made this statement in an interview programme “I always thank God that he gave us Fashola for 8 years. Politically people attribute all these things, that Tinubu did this or that is because the Fashola years has covered up for those bad 8 years prior to when Tinubu couldn’t control the disposition of refuse. People have very short memories. Tinubu when he became governor, he was able to get people to give him. There was a lot of enthusiasm, people like Pat Uromi, where more than ready to throw all kinds of documents at him to work with but he spent most of his time politicking. “And I don’t think intellectually he has what it takes and the presence of mind to sit down and govern. I don’t think he has it. Fashola has been the most fantastic guys that has been in this governance. He doesn’t quiver, he doesn’t waver. I don’t believe he panders towards anybody liking him or not. He just gets the job done and gets it done quite right and so I think we give him a lot of credit. ” I’ve heard people say that I hate the president. I don’t hate him. Why will I hate him. Sometimes I admire him for getting away with the things that he does. I wish I could but I’m not somebody like that. I am always on the straight and narrow. But what I want to talk about is capability. I don’t want to sound nasty or anything but who would ever take over a whole country and the minute he signs, he makes a policy statement. “Nobody well trained does that. I am from the Unilever School of Management. I worked with Unilever Brothers for short time but within that short time I know to get things properly done. “Who do you think would? And that for me is a character flaw. On the first day you sign that subsidy is over. Even if you have done your homework, what about the optics. “And before the election I have said in definite terms that this man does not have the capability and does not have the mindset. “That phrase “emilakan” for me is a baby mindset for somebody who wants to lead a country not to talk of the fact that we heard it on video where he said, grab it, whatever and run away with it. Those are not the morals I grew up on “When I look at all these mindset I say to myself, this is not the kind of person that should be leading our country. Fashola was good, but more propaganda against GEJ. He was made, minister of power, but we had more darkness. Everyone that grew up around Enyin Eyo, will understand jayejaye ni Tinubu, intellectual capacity is not what they made him to be. He's empty yet he brought the same Fashola to govern? Yet thesame Fashola gives him credit for his foundation? I agree Fashola is good, I disagree BAT is incapable. fergie001:Most of those who are fanatically supporting Tinubu did not even live through his administration in Lagos Nothing fantastic about it. They only support and adore him for his standing up to OBJ who was painted as opposing Yoruba interest and worldview about Nigeria He built 4 secondary schools in 8 years. They praise him for that. But Obi did not build any school in 8 years and they villify him. fergie001:Lagos state needs someone like Fashola in 2027. The pace Lagos state was developing under Fashola has really slowed down. There are some road projects that were started by Ambode and Sanwo olu is still struggling to complete after spending close to 6 years in power. |

The best Lagos State governor goes to Lateef Jakande, followed by Fashola. Tinubu's administration groomed agberos and empowered them to be official touts in Lagos. Lagos was very dirty during the administration of Tinubu. Fashola came in and started massive housing schemes, a notable achievements and legacies of Lateef Jakande. Lagos State hospitals became better during Fashola's administration. At least I benefitted from a government owned hospital when I had my son. Tinubu doesn't come close to Fashola in all ramifications 1 Like |
