Was the petition backed with enough evidence?.

This idea of EFCC or police arresting a person because someone wrote a petition is totally wrong. It does not happen like that in the West. The petition, report or story has to be investigated first.

I have seen many cases where EFCC pick up someone based on a written statement by an accuser. The petitioner will usually "mobilize" the officers.
