GloryJoyeux:PLease how we get to use the Solar Assistant with our Inverter? Do i need to buy a different module aside the one from Growatt? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 4:52pm On May 05, 2025 |
temi4fash:1) Raspberry Pi 2) Install Solar Assistant inside Raspberry Pi 3) Buy the software. Or buy the device (raspberry pi with software) if you no dey like stress/DIY

BiigTee:It must be a time lag, use this same app and find its pretty accurate and don't get these kind of unexplainable results. Refresh the app and confirm that connection to the router is working fine.

BiigTee:When was this setup?? I just looked again, you've generated more today than you've generated this whole month...their is something clearly wrong with the configuration. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 5:36pm On May 05, 2025 |
AndroBlaze:Just checked and refreshed the app after dropping my previous post, it had not updated the monthly figures either. Anyway, another thing to consider, did you set maximum charging amps on the inverter- IIRC you can actually set maximum charging amps for pv and grid (I remember limiting the amps for grid).

Hi guys. Any idea how much a SRNE 1.5kVa inverter and their 2.56 kWh lithium battery cost ? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 6:11pm On May 05, 2025 |
ManAdii:It is not just for Deye but many other types of inverters. And no, I haven't seen TBB remote monitoring software. I'm more of a DIY person so I like things that can work for many inverters not just one particular type of make.

Good evening to the DIYers, installers, owners, and everyone. Please, I need users' feedback for those that have used these batteries to guide in the purchasing of the battery. How do you rate these batteries and their performance for practical, first hand experience without considering price, just their performance real and usable power, etc. 1. BSL Battery—15 kWh 2. Taico - 15KWh 3. SNRE - 15KWh 4. Entelechy - 15KWh 5. Blue carbon - 15KWh Kindly rate the performance and value for money for the batteries. appreciate your reviews, it will help guide |

HeavenlyBang:You can you use a voltage boost with your 12.8v or 11.1v lithium battery to raise the the input to the normal 15v |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ajabani4allah(m): 10:27pm On May 05, 2025 |
bassdow:You are very much correct on this but also don't forget that if the input is 12v instead of the normal 15v then there is no way the 12v will get to the DC motor based on those couple of steps you mentioned, hence a reduction in the speed |

Trippledots:Good explanation bro, pls how do I get this? I have some small relays I obtained from AE but this is big and can handle large current |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 11:08pm On May 05, 2025 |
ajabani4allah:if you have worked on electronics well enough, you would understand that any appliance that has AC / DC inputs, internally have different routes. What that means is it's not exactly same route (resistors, diodes, etc), the AC passes through, the DC would pass through. When it comes to the likes of FANs , Me go try a couple of tricks, and if I no want to waste time, I just create a jumper from DC to the Fan's motor it's self. You're free to include a variable resistor for speed control or use IC (much energy friendly) to do that BUT me no dey bother most times hence the FAN would be blowing like when NEPA gave you high current light |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 11:16pm On May 05, 2025 |
ajabani4allah:I see that as waste myself. Even Ohm's law says same. Why Boost 12.8volts battery (look the battery well, e fit no even complete 12v , and/ or maybe the amperage na even overRated sef ) to 15volts, just so it gets stepped-down to less than 10-volts. That's a whole lot of wastage going on. The only things I never bother tampering with are: (Submersible) Pumping machine, Fridge / Freezer, HotPlate, Pressing Iron, and all other heavy appliances which are most;y Direct to AC. If I get any appliance, wey I suspect say something dey inside dey drop voltage, na play be that for me. When you do things this way, the pressure on your batteries wold be much less, PLUS you wouldn't spend much on inverter if at all you ends up needing one. PLUS during rainy days, you wouldn't be out of power thanks to your reduced energy needs |

AndroBlaze:what values would you advice please? For both grid and pv. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ajabani4allah(m): 12:01am On May 06, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:Based on Dami test, it can be savely concluded that the 25.6v/314Ah will be 280Ah but it's still very good for that money and I think I have gotten to my bus stop in the quest for lithium battery |

Preator:You can always buy their product (software or hardware) from their site. One of my earlier screenshots captured it or just google it. Prices is from $59 for software and $169 to $209 for device and software. I doubt if it can be used as I don't think it's neither Axpert nor Voltronic inverter. But to be sure you can always contact solar assistant by sending them a mail with your inverter specification and pictures. Especially pictures showing the communication ports. Email: info @ solar-assistant. io FYI: Gospower doesn't know what Solar Assistant or HA means (check attached screenshot).

Good morning all, I have one 2kva 12V Sako inverter that drops charging to as low as 2A or should I say, the charging current starts dropping immediately it starts charging, no matter the level of the battery discharge (LiFePo4). Even though the charging current is set to 50A, PHCN charging for now, no solar panels added yet. The inverter will need to be restarted like 2 to 3 times before it starts ramping up the charging to 47A. Any fix or settings to correct this issue? |
