Today it's VDM, tomorrow it's you. Many people are even rejoicing over his arrest without looking at the bigger picture. You can see why Nigeria will still remain in a conundrum.
Don't get me wrong I don't like VDM,never did never will. But at least he is anti establishment. What about you?
It is now a badge of honour, a thing of pride, a career, a life ambition to be anti establishment? You people behave like have no brains!

It is no secret social media has dumbed down this generation!. Herd mentality, no individuality of thought!

Glimpsetv:
Following the arrest of popular human rights activist and social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, by a joint operation involving the EFCC and DSS at a GTBank branch, several protests have erupted demanding his release.

A new viral video has surfaced online showing some UK-based Nigerians staging a peaceful protest in the United Kingdom, calling for the immediate release of VeryDarkMan.

The trending clip is further evidence of his growing influence and popularity, even beyond Nigeria.

Watch the video and share your thoughts in the comments.

Bingo! this monetization leads to sensational headlines which the gullible hungry mob just grab and follow without checking.

They don’t know they are being played.

First VDM’s own brother said he was arrested and beaten inside GTB, when GTB released the CCTV of him walking out of the bank and even high fiving someone, the same brother then said oh his car was double crossed and arrested on the road and that people should come and protest. If VDMs own brother can lie so blatantly to initiate a protest because his brother was arrested, what other lies and deception have he and his brother sold to the public?

I have always said where does he get the money he uses to fund his “charities” and advocacies? Is it through blackmail or charity fraud, if it is kosher, who are his donors because we know he has no other job!

grin grin grin grin

Free him ke? What were his crimes if any?

I am sure if Hushpuppy had been arrested by Nigerian authorities these lots would have staged protest without finding out whether he was a fraudster.

You can protest that allegations against him should be made public, protest lack of arrest warrant or the manner of arrest. But saying free him without knowing details of the facts is another example of shallow mindedness of Nigerians

Dear EFCC and DSS,

Weldone, And you have done excellently well.

You guys deserve a letter of commendation from every well meaning sane Nigeria.

The last two (2) months had seen this character become more of a public nuisance and social media noise maker than an activist.

He affronted the gods of the Land directly without provocation people like Femi Falana (SAN), Abike Dabiri, Reuben Abati (PhD), Sultan of Sokoto, Arewa Youth President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio etc.

He also used his platform to take food out of the mouth of people like Nedu Wazobia etc.

Let VDM feel the humiliation and embarrassment him and his headless mob the untrained, uncoth, disrespectful and dissident "Ratel" dished out to innocent well placed Nigerians.

If the law enforcement agency hadn't stepped-in this dude was already influencing a new set of deviants who assumed being loud and crass was a yuppie thing.

Many thanks EFCC & DSS, our social media space has been peaceful since Friday.

Some people just conjure pure ignorance and lies from the pit of he'll. Where is the protest?! People are enarmoured and engrossed in packing shift to pay bills. These ones are just few who.

Let the so called opportunistic-cum-lousy activist desist from putting mouth in everything that doesn't concern him especially laying unverified claims. Any nuisance can be a saviour jn as much as you tilt towards activism and tout yourself as a freedom fighter. Making needless countless videos to make money..

However, back to the reality, the level of impunity and tyranny in Nigeria is too much. As much as the boy ply his trade in an unprofessional manner, he deserves the right treatment and that should be done swiftly. Injury to one is to all.

I believe VDM has some secrets considering how he intermittently invites the EFCC to come and arrest him.

Cyber bully or stalking is punishable under the law but at least, let's fully hear his offence.

All these are just pure distraction in the country
Them call the muddafuka out as gay, instead of denying, he started attacking another person , till today na so him deflect the matter.... But make e no worry
No be SM again
Somebody will always bring it up from time to time

Tinubu’s autocratic descent is a shameless betrayal of Nigeria’s trust, unleashing his gestapo-style police to hunt, harass, and silence critics with fabricated, trumped-up charges.

Nigerians, hoodwinked by his hollow promises and dubious “no school certificate” past, now face a power-hungry tyrant desperate to cement a dictatorship.
But we are Nigerians—battle-hardened by military despots, we will crush this civilian wannabe dictator with the same ferocity. His daily policy pronouncements are a cruel charade, empty rhetoric designed to deceive while he plunders the nation’s soul.

Take his so-called police reform: the Inspector General boldly declared VIP security details withdrawn, yet just yesterday, a groveling policeman was caught on video bending low to tie the shoelaces of Ganduje—a mere party chieftain with no elected office, no constitutional mandate, just a bloated ego. Meanwhile, Nigerians in Niger, Plateau, and Borno bleed and die under relentless insecurity, abandoned by a police force too busy playing servant to Tinubu’s cronies. This is not governance; it’s a disgraceful circus of sycophancy and oppression, and we Nigerians will not stand for it. Tinubu, your time is running out—our resolve will bury your dictatorship dreams.
Oga! Stop calling Tinubu's name. Allow the security agencies to do their job. Just because VDM is a celebrity doesn't mean he can commit an offense.
If puff daddy were in Nigeria this ones will not allow the authority to do their job.

Why is it that these law enforcement agencies always have strength to arrest and intimidate those that not in power.

The politicians that have messed up this country are working very free.

Was these agencies created for a common man.

Most us wil support them because we feel people like VDM is a tool that is being used to destroy our brother's government.
Forgotten that even that ur so call brother doesn't care about ur existence.

Today it can be VDM and tomorrow it could be u.
VDM is a great guy, i like him so much, but iI think he made some mistakes.

He started very well until he allows the opposition, to be pushing him and started attacking people and making unnecessary comments about some people in the society.

You can criticize people with proof but it is wrong to abuse and curse the elders . He abused the president, ministers, celebrities unnecessarily , for example the negative comments he made about Iyabo Ojo daughter's wedding was not necessary. The way he spoke about the Sultan of Sokoto, although he apologize later. The president and other southerners can give you the freedom to abuse them but northerners will not allow you to disrespect their leaders. I am sure EFCC will release him very soon, he should try and be professional in his dealings.

Wow!!! This is so succinctly spoken.

olatade:
VDM is locked up for days without charge, but EFCC can’t touch Yahaya Bello, Sadiya Farouq, or Betta Edu despite serious corruption claims. That’s not justice. That’s oppression. When truth tellers are jailed and the corrupt are protected, Nigeria isn’t just broken,it’s bleeding.
Re: UK-Based Nigerians Stage Protest To Free VeryDarkMan (Photos, Video) by janeedema(f): 11:12am On May 06, 2025
Can you please keep quiet? Thank you.

How many corrupt politicians have been detained even when there are proofs on ground? Where is Emefiele? Where is Yahaya Bello? Where are our politicians detained? Yeah! Why is Babangida, Tinubu, and Buhari working free?

Name one person whom the EFCC has detained that isn’t about witch-hunting or an opposition to government.

Suddenly, the authorities are doing their jobs.

If you don’t know what victimization is, again, I say:

Please, keep quiet.

Certainly not this kind of things.
