We've not known exactly what the issue is yet.

Arresting him isn't the issue. He has been arrested and locked up multiple times.
The manner he was arrested is what's causing this outrage.

They could simply have invited him to their office, instead of ambushing him like kidnappers, putting a black bag over his head, punching him in their vehicle, seizing his phone, and forcing him to give them his password.
All of this is wrong.

And the so-called warrant used in arresting him was for cyber-stalking.

Is it their job to arrest people over allegations of cyber-stalking and defamation?

It's not the EFCC's job to investigate cyberstalking, that's the job of the police. EFCC stands for Economic and Financial crime commission.

Let me ask you, does cyber-stalking sound like a financial or economic crime to you? Or is EFCC now Internet police?

Secondly, VDM was 'kidnapped' along with an associate. His associate was later released. There's a video out there where his associate explained what happened in the car.

To those asking must they wear their uniform for such operation? They operating in a public place in broad daylight light, they must identify themselves with their uniforms or logo so that they won't be mistaken for armed robbers, kidnappers or terrorists
