Good one.

Vision is needed.

Nigeria is not like Ghana with 25 million people, whose power issue can be solved with 1 or 2 power plants.

By 2045 Nigeria, currently at 250 million people, will be over 400 million in population, so we need a comprehensive plan to power the entire nation.
you're a mad man if you think Nigeria can ever have 24/7 light. It's impossible!

All the trillions these electricity people are billing, you mean they did not reinvest 1 naira into improving their infrastructure and increasing the electricity available? I thought FG owned a percentage and privatizing means FG will not have to invest this much in electricity? Over 100 billion dollars is more than our current external debt.

I think FG need to first meet with these private companies and have expectations of them. Seem some people are just collecting money and patching the infrastructure they met there. Don’t wait until everything collapse and they start faking surprise. Demand with what ever little ownership that they have expectations and are consistently audited.
Privatisation failed woefully in the power sector, banking sector, insurance sector and oil/gas sector. This is the sad truth the main stream media houses in this country won't tell you because such narrative goes against the Holy grail..

Privatisation in these areas only created a corrupt group of highly rich oligarchs, who rake in trillions every year from these companies, while not really improving services and goods deliveries commensurate to their new found wealth..

When you're a failure, you know you are. When you campaigned, you said you would do it immediately. Now it's 2045? What a shame. Yet you build VP's apartment, coastal road that's not needed, waste money on travels. Yet the key commodity needed for your economy to grow will come in 2045?

APC, you do this one!

Honestly I am beginning to think that Tinubu has peaked and we have reached diminishing returns in terms of his ability to take us forward. Removing subsidy and unifying the exchange rate were great, systematic, laudable and groundbreaking…..but what next?

Nigeria does not need pie in the sky long term plans by people who won’t be there to execute the plan. I was in London when I started hearing of 4th mainland bridge, 20yrs later no bridge! I am not interested in long term plans but what you will deliver while you are in power. Let your successor worry about his own contribution. I am only interested in what you can deliver in a maximum of 2 terms!

Who has time to wait till 2046 at a time when even today solar is cheaper than band A electricity?

I have to be very honest with all supporters of this administration, I Will vote for him again and he will win in 2027 but only because the alternatives are so far inferior to him. I expect better!

A big problem in Nigeria is the poor quality of the opposition!

We always have great plans but implementation is often the issue. We are good at writing white papers, policies, laws , technical reports but implementation has always been the bane .so hold your celebration until you start seeing results.

So you know this one but you preferred to buy Presidential get with the amount that can conveniently build 4 new refineries for the country and reduce/stop importation road.
Dangote built his new refinery less than $20 million.

For those of us that knew vision 2020, don't believe these lies.
Electricity is not rocket science just like our famous power minister said it. If Tinubu four years can't fix electricity to a 70% efficiency then this government is a failure.

Any government that want you to believe it will take years to fix electricity but embark on project like coastal highway way and other funny project is already a failure.
They're just trying to enrich themselves and contractors.
All sensible government will try to fix light. For over 60 years of Nigeria existence your government want you to believe by 2045 you will have constant light, they should have said that during the campaign.

If this government do not fix electricity then they should be massively voted out
How can you compare a virgin project like the coastal high way to an existing power distribution? It will take longer time to gradually replace the already electricity system in use than just construct a totally new road without any obstruction.
Do you understand?

Also long as government is directly involved nothing will work. The government needs to totally withdraw from the power sector and confine it's role to regulatory affairs.
