Personally, I feel like Flick should have started Araujo at RB... But seeing how Araujo struggle with the offside set up I understand. He will probably come in the later stage

I think he kept it simple. He didn't try to overcomplicate things.

I didn't think he would have sent a good message to the dressing room if he had dropped Gerrard Martin, even when it was obvious he's the LB in the team and he had trusted him all these months.

People usually criticised Pep Guardiola for always trying to overcomplicate things in the biggest games. I think Hansi Flick has gone for the simplest plan and win or lose, i love that he trusted the team and thinks they'll step up and vindicate him.
