That is just my fear. All their krinkum krankum cannot be translated to votes. The same thing happened when the "progressives" chased Babangida and the military out. Instead of occupying the space, Beko, Falana et al went to sleep. The buccaneers from PDP took over and this is where we are today.

As they kick like a dying horse giving its last kicks, they should not insult the publics intelligence by saying Nigerians are ‘celebrating’ 26 years of unbroken democrazy! The only ones celebrating are the thieving, visionless, shameless, tribalist and anywhere-belle-face political, chieftaincy, civil service and entrepreneurial elite! The average Nigerian has never had it so bad since the end of the uncivil war!

And ain’t it funny how they pick and choose which parts of federalism and the presidential system of gov’t they want to adhere to and which parts they want to ignore!? These mofos INSIST on having a upper and lower legislature even when it’s totally unnecessary and just a drain on limited resources; they INSIST on a unitary form of gov’t in all but name, where the centre wields all the power and greedily covets the natural resources of the component units; they INSIST on a single national policing structure; they INSIST on a single national judicial structure; they INSIST on the president being the one to unilaterally appoint the umpire of the electoral body that will conduct a election in which the president will be a contestant; they INSIST on aviation and seaports being on the exclusive list; they see nothing wrong with voice voting on important national issues; etc-etc-etc! They engage in all these infractions against the spirit and letter of federalism and presidential system of gov’t, yet are immediately up in arms when someone suggests tweaking the current system to give room for accountability in gov’t!

APC promised to. Form parallel government during Jonathan presidency if things did not go there was. Now here we are, APC complaining about opposition form a shadow government.

Everything about Prof Pat Utomi and politics ends in theory. The LP that he ran to how far? Volkswagen how far? Theory is not the same as practice. Shadow government in a presidential system? Show us where it happened.

I think Prof Utomi should really fight for the soul of Nigeria if he is really serious about it.
This shadow govt of a thing is still a superficial part of the battle, it reminds one of Patito's gang and the Mega Party he wanted to form.

To really win the soul of Nigeria, set up political radio stations across Nigeria as Tinubu did and take over a national newspaper fully to propagate your ideas just like President Tinubu. The current President owns the Nation and has a substantial investment in the Punch.

You need to give your competitors a good run for their money. You might not end being the president cos you are a minority, but posterity will remember you for a job well done.

The purpose to having alternatives to power is not merely to remove the existing government.

Opposition politics does not just aim at changing the government but controlling government and leading them along the lines of quality service delivery.

We are tired of changing governments for the sake of changing them. Democracy is essentially a battle of power blocs the spinoffs of which benefit the people. It is a battle to impress.
