I wonder the magic this government want to use to swindle the masses for votes comes 2027. Even Mobutu seseseko was not this insensitive. Let's see the wonder that a Congo of garri and beans will do on the masses by then. We are truly waiting. Let's all politicians in opposition decamp to APC. Probably they will be the one to vote. We are waiting.
They don't rely on masses vote, our vote is inconsequential... INEC is their tool

So, what is his offence to warrant his detention for days? Don't be happy because a fellow Nigerian you probably don't like his face is detained today. Consider: Have you ever lost your liberty for a couple of days before?

There's a very thin line between activism, freedom of speech and libel.

Like Yoruba elders will say, every statement has a response but not every response should be uttered.

Anyone can be anything, but laws won't change because of you. People will probably think it's their reactions and protests that prompted his release. Lol. Dey play.

Just because someone we like is the one breaking the law does not make it right and just because the authorities decided to do their jobs does not make them the enemy. Everybody keeps encouraging him in his unwise approach, I hope it'll be all worth it at the end.

You can do the right thing in the wrong way and that's exactly what he's doing. Segalink has had a great impact without being a nuisance. People have fought for people and stood up for the truth without being uncouth, irate and disrespectful.

Nigerians will keep hailing you just because you are speaking against their perceived enemies, case in point is Nnamdi Kanu. Let the consequences come and you'll be shocked that you can ever be so easily forgotten by the same people you thought you were fighting for.

Be an activist but be a legally informed activist.
No law was broken in this Case.

Hi, I could only read your first and second paragraph. I didn’t want to read further, lest I get flummoxed by your thinking pattern.

But I will say this: in a sane society, VDM would be first of all charged to court, and then proved guilty of the charges before being jailed.

He was not jailed, he was in detention.

Being in preventive detention and being sentenced to prison term in jail are two very different things

Yankiss:
Rufai Oseni has been right all the while. VDM was in EFCC not DSS custody. Well, I expect VDM to sue them for denial of freedom if he were innocent. In developed countries, they only arrest when a prima facie case is established. In Nigeria, we arrest on mere suspicions and release when not found guilty. Standing justice on its head.
you should not that VDM will never see the light of day again if a single drop of guilt was found on him. With his constant challenge of the EFCC and APC the guy will perish if, even a dot stains his white.

You haters are the minority, even before the government started, your wish is to have your own half baked candidate installed as president. Never worries about how the government is going to reach out to the patriotic citizens. I dont still know, what you want the government of the day to do differently if truely you dont want hand to mouth economy Nigeria have been running till this adminstration. Beneficiaries of the loopholes of fuel subsidy and fx policies are the few ones like you amplifying mishivious comments against the government.

Where did you read that he was jailed? Are we following the same story? Let's stop throwing around terms without understanding their meaning or to align with our bias.

Being detained and being jailed are 2 widely different things. People are detained when suspected for criminal offences while investigation is ongoing or during legal proceedings in the case of capital offences, that's the norm everywhere in the world. So why should his be different? Because he's VDM?
