How did Yahaya Bello do his own, to warrant his celebrated and grand entry and exit from EFCC custody?
I'm not here to start playing comparison games with anyone. They are 2 very different cases with different circumstances.

I don't know anything about his case, neither does anyone outside efcc or the government. Everyone else is just doing guess work and letting their emotions control their thinking.

maybe you are right, even drug lords are some people's Messiah
If u are referring to Tinubu, you are wrong bcs you are only accentuating hearsay. No court in Nigeria or anywhere abroad has ever convicted him of drug crime. So u cant refer to such person as drug Lord. There is no establishment. Same way Obi was accuse of Pandora gate and money laundry without conviction. Should we now tag him criminal bcs of mere allegation without conviction?

No law was broken in this Case.
Says who? You? As you be police abi court of law?

Most of you Nigerians have a very inflated opinion of yourselves and your relevance. If Pdiddy was Nigerian, I'm sure the lot of you will protest for his release without even understanding what or why he's being investigated.

You don't know anything, let alone thinking you have all the answers. Social media is an equivalent of 'beer parlor'. Most of what you call news on social media are beer parlor gists. Know this and know peace.

I wonder the magic this government want to use to swindle the masses for votes comes 2027. Even Mobutu seseseko was not this insensitive. Let's see the wonder that a Congo of garri and beans will do on the masses by then. We are truly waiting. Let's all politicians in opposition decamp to APC. Probably they will be the one to vote. We are waiting.
Bro.... the decamping is mad! It's like they were all threatened.

This is a little sign that the masses are no longer blind. A tip of the iceberg come 2027.

Where did you read that he was jailed? Are we following the same story? Let's stop throwing around terms without understanding their meaning or to align with our bias.

Being detained and being jailed are 2 widely different things. People are detained when suspected for criminal offences while investigation is ongoing or during legal proceedings in the case of capital offences, that's the norm everywhere in the world. So why should his be different? Because he's VDM?
Response to No.1 BOLDED
“……” this only applies to heinous crimes, typically felonies. E.g. a person caught with stacks of hard drugs in his apartment could be detained because he is likely the one who put it there.

Response to bolded No.2
This is not the norm everywhere. Of course there are saner countries that operate like this. But for a country that operates on the democratic principle, you shouldn’t be detaining people for maligning without proving that they are actually guilty of it. What they did by arresting VDM without first issuing charges and proving that he did something wrong, is that they’ve deterred other Nigerians who might have related issues in the future from speaking up.
It boggles the mind how your ilk will go on loving injustice and cruelty simply because it’s not done to you.

last sentence response: I don’t give a bleep about VDM. I simply do not want to live in an underdeveloped country where people’s rights are being curtailed. It’s already bad that you’re a poor country. But being poor and operating on a dictatorship system is a death sentence to any country.

Lol
There's a very thin line between activism, freedom of speech and libel.

Like Yoruba elders will say, every statement has a response but not every response should be uttered.

Anyone can be anything, but laws won't change because of you. People will probably think it's their reactions and protests that prompted his release. Lol. Dey play.

Just because someone we like is the one breaking the law does not make it right and just because the authorities decided to do their jobs does not make them the enemy. Everybody keeps encouraging him in his unwise approach, I hope it'll be all worth it at the end.

You can do the right thing in the wrong way and that's exactly what he's doing. Segalink has had a great impact without being a nuisance. People have fought for people and stood up for the truth without being uncouth, irate and disrespectful.

Nigerians will keep hailing you just because you are speaking against their perceived enemies, case in point is Nnamdi Kanu. Let the consequences come and you'll be shocked that you can ever be so easily forgotten by the same people you thought you were fighting for.

Be an activist but be a legally informed activist.
But wetin make me think say you just yarn nonsense?
Re: VeryDarkMan Regains Freedom From EFCC Custody by kcbaba007: 9:22pm On May 07, 2025
DSS should release the NANS president now... The APC injustice in this country is now too much. The intimidation needs to be aired internationally. Nigeria has never experienced such level of injustice, and intimidation from the govt like we are seeing now

who told you your vote is needed in this country. If vote truly counts in Nigeria then Peter Obi would have been the president

Clap for yourself for the lies!

We know the camp you belong. The conservatives and plunders of Nigerian nation. But it shall not be well for the enemies of the people like you.

VDM may not be perfect. But he represents voice of the voiceless in the society.

Let's see how you and your direction less government will win our votes, come 2027.

We are waiting!

It's like VDM is now more popular than someone states in Nigeria.
It is just age limits, otherwise he may contest election in future and win by the people's vote

Even with 100 naira, they will still buy voters in 2027.

Forget current things happening. Nigerians never remember ANYTHING again once it's election time. Just give them money and they sell their future again!

Their plan is to turn Nigeria into a one-party state by killing opposition parties
