Take a listen to yourself. The duty of the police is to protect every citizen irrespective of status. If the elites want more security, they can hire private security. The police is for everyone and should not be paid for elite services.

Instead of making noise, work harder to become one of the elite that will be able to afford that. Till world ends, poor people will continue to exist. Even if you sell Nigeria, divides the money and give each person 10 billion naira each, some will still become poor in a matter of months. Work harder legitimately and gets promotion to elite level that will be able to afford the service. Even in advanced countries, poor people and beggars still exist. Work more and complain less.

The police announced the setting up of Special Protection Unit and you are saying that it is not new. Good education is really essential for the kind of job you are doing.

Private security or police security it doesn't matter aslong as they follow the rules and laws of that specific assignment.

Yes the police is for everyone and the large part of them still are for everyone but police have units for job efficiency. Elites are part of everyone too and if they want extra security for hire and the police is available why not?

This is one of the main reasons for not forming State Police. But if the IG can allow this for one State ... why wouldn't the elites in the other states demand same? The elites need special protection then they should provide it themselves out of their own pockets ...not the taxpayers.

Don't get it twisted. They have the unit already. They are pouring more funds into it.
