I have same issue. I submitted on 7/4 shows received since 8/4 nothing yet. My wife did earlier in March got hers in a week. My son was at the Embassy on the 17th got his visa in a week and passport picked up already.

Today has gone already you may go back home.
What the bank asked you to provide is called Amentum Reference number (MRV payment teller) and here is the process.

** The first step is for you to go and fill your official visa application (DS-160) because you will need the confirmation number (that starts with AA...) to complete the 2nd stage.

*** The 2nd stage is for you to go to the U.S. embassy official recommended website (AVITS AMENTUM) and register and initiate your visa appointment application:

You will understand the procedure up to the stage of generating the teller (amentum reference) which you can take to the bank for the payment of your MRV. ** Keep us posted as you are navigating the above procedures.👍

I will advise you go again. If you ask me I think you need to check and refine your ds160. You sound like the conference will contribute to your career growth and if truly you do not have an intention to overstay then I will advise you try reapplying again while keeping your fingers crossed. This journey is always a 50/50 and na who give up, Bleep up!!

I have my b1/b2 interview appointment for June 10, next month. Now I got a mail from the embassy in Abu Dhabi for a new appointment for 7th May, next week Tuesday.

Can I ignore the mail and go for my initial date or I must attend on the new date.

I’m certainly not prepared as I want to change my IS -160 form for the new passport. My old passport has one year validity and am worried I might get less than 5years.

Go for the one they rescheduled. It happened to me. I was lucky to see the mail cos it went to my spam box. They sometimes move around peoples date. The passport issue doesn't matter. Take the two to the interview. They will stamp on the new one.

I'm sorry but it looks like desperation at this point. If the circumstance of your refusal hasn't change then don't apply until it does. What was written on the paper given to you? Read it. That should be your guide for future applications.

Yeah, I know this looks like desperation but it's really not but yeah, thank you for your feedback... Also, there is nothing written on the paper , it's just the generic white paper bullshit they give .

Yes,their refusal papers are generic but there are key points written there. So check it and adjust. I'm sure the organisation will organise another conference next year. Plan to attend that one. I'm not trying to discourage you but I'm just telling you based on others experiences. I've been on this thread for a long time especially when people used to share their transcript. Thread 2,3 and 4. You can search and read various transcripts. Let that guide you.

1. FreeDelivery - DHL LAGOS/ DHL Abuja
2. Premiumdelivery- OIS Services / DHL Locations.

I'm not sure if with option 1, I can specify whether lagos or abuja or if it just takes your appointment location by default. Or

If your mum has attended her visa interview in Abuja then her free-delivery option can only be within Abuja either DHL or OIS.
** But she can opt for Premium (paid) delivery to Lagos or anywhere.

** You cannot attend interview in Abuja and choose free delivery to Lagos , neither can you attend an interview in Lagos and choose free delivery to outside Lagos. ** Your free delivery options must not encroach the embassy location state. 👍

Your category is actually B2 (pleasure & tourism) but if the page did not ask you to specify you should pick B1/B2.

The reason is that when the embassy wants to issue your visa they will issue you B1/B2 (80% of the time) because they don't want you to come back and apply for B1 since both visa categories are related.

B1 is for those going to America for more serious and profitable activities. 👍

The payment evidence is what the embassy needs. Besides the payment receipt # will also reflect in their appointment letters so it's sufficient. 👍

The appropriate category is B1/B2.

That section is a two way things and it can be confusing. Either going for tourism or visiting there must be a point of contact to be mentioned. Did you register to any tourist attraction center (write the center manager's name and contact info) ? Are you visiting a particular family (write the head of the family's name and their contact info) ? ** You cannot just land in America and be walking or looking around (jaywalking), there must be a particular location of your interest.

Note: If you are undecided and plans to visit your desire places on arrival then write the name of your hotel (reservation) and contact info , the manager can be your point of contact. ** You have to choose between organization and contact person (tick do not know for the other). 👍

You will pay at the point of choosing and if visa is not approved they refund. Therefore, wait till after visa outcome before you change your pick up preference. 👍
