Good thing that nevers transit to reality or reflect any impact

Mention one good news that have reflected impact

Nigerians are not mad, you cant be urinating on us and expect us to dance it is raining .. well done for what exactly huh

You think you appreciate good news more than some of us, Lets see fuel price or dollar rate drop below #500 .. we go know whu sabi dance pass
I thought you wanted to learn its positive impact and not launch a needless attack. Lemme know when you are ready to learn.

What clear term is this illiterate talking about?. This is a report by IMF uploaded on its website, Statisense has even confirmed it. So, what are you wailing about?. Abeg go and sell your gala and leave a topic beyond your mental capacity.

And what is comprehension IC?
If IMF is saying Nigeria is no longer on the list of debtors, fine !! But on j term

is it that Tinubu repaid n clear the loan

is it base on " Debt relief" or "bad debt written off" which huh

saying we are not on the list is not tenable enough, what if tomorrow they put us back on the list then what do we use to hold IMF

Paris club expressively gave Nigeria debt relief to certain amount .. that is binding logically/legally

Agreement or promises must be clear, we are not toddlers

This one is still proving he's an illiterate grin . Even when it's written in simple English. I think IMF wiped off our loans free of charge, we didn't pay one kobo grin. Receive sense.

That's what I read too. 2027. They should tell us how they suddenly cleared all our debts.

Thank you. Please send it to Helius, Obiedun, Peterobiisathie, flokii, or Yarimo. They need it more than I do. Those folks are doing a tough job defending Escobar here.

$1.61 billion IMF debt cleared. OK.
It's good to rejoice when you hear "good news" about your country. I equally rejoice because I love Nigeria. I always look forward to more positive (really positive) developments about Nigeria.
However, for those who are jumping up and down on this thread, here is what they didn't tell you.

Data from the debt management office shows that by June 30, 2023, Total public debts stood at N87.379 trillion (N33.247 trillion external, N54.130 trillion domestic).
By December 31, 2024, Nigeria's total public debts stood at N144.665 trillion (N70.287 trillion external, N74.377 trillion domestic).

That is a whooping N57.286 trillion in more debts!

While data on the current figure for Nigeria's total public debts is not yet available on the DMO website, it is projected that the current figure stands at about N150 trillion.

What I am saying in summary?

Paying IMF while taking more loans from other institutions or/and countries doesn't seem like a bright spot yet.

Until the public debts figure decreases, I can't see anything remarkable that the government has done.

Don't just take my word for it. Verify here

https://www.dmo.gov.ng/debt-profile/total-public-debt
They didn't take more loans.
The exchange rate really affected us bad.
It was around 700 in 2023 but moved to 1500 in 2024.
This is massive and will affect expenditure.
I just hope we get things right in this country

When you have no achievements anything becomes achievements. You removed subsidy and devastated the naira. Then you borrowed 13 billion dollars. But because you paid 1.9 billion dollars. Your dense supporters have created 100 threads. Meanwhile this is Nigeria external debt.

Not being on the list of debtors, does it negate we are owing huh Debt relieve we know, bad debt written off we know .. which one is not on the list of IMF huh
what if its an " error of omission" ... most APC people are school dropout we know

Why cant IMF come out in clear terms like paris club did during OBj era.

nonsnse people
debt was cleared two days ago, and IMF has removed Nigeria from their web of debtors, how can IMF come in clear terms ago.
Abi u want them to come to Nigeria, carry mike, organize a concert and tell u that Nigeria's debt had been cleared?

It definitely doesn't increase your account balance but your constructive criticism speaks volume of your love for Nigeria not your biased view because a known liar (Peter Obi) wasn't given the mantle of leadership of this country.

It reduced in dollars, the more stable currency. Yes or yes? A whooping $20billion debts less. Now, minus IMF own join.

Good observation that it reduced in dollars but the dollar is not our currency.
We need to give naira to get dollars and the value of the naira has reduced enormously.
That's the more reason I don't see this as an achievement in any way.
If someone lends you $1,000 worth N750,000 and when you pay back the N750,000, you still owe him $500. Would you call that an achievement?

The crashing of the naira worsened the situation but yes, Tinubu-led federal government has taken a lot of loans.
In fact, Tinubu has borrowed more than N13 trillion in the last 20 month.

We earn in dollars as a nation. The big part of our debt is also foreign. Our FAAC depends a lot on how much we make from oil which is in dollars.
