Valdes was an average keeper that Messi and other great players carried to win laurels.

He got exposed when he came to Man UTD and was deservedly demoted to U21 team. He later got Middlesbrough relegated to the Championship.

Onana too, would have looked good in that Barca team of those years.

We should be more concerned with our defense that has conceded only 7 less goals than Luton. 3 clean sheets in our last 16 premier league matches.

A renowned coach once said Attack wins you games, defence wins you titles for a reason. Our attack and chance creation is one of the best in the league while our defense is amongst the worst. We have only conceded 7 less goals than freaking Luton. That should tell you how pitiful our defense have been. We have watched this team on multiple occasions dominate opponents only for our defense to slip up and concede silly goals. Last season we scored 38goals in the whole campaign while we have 35goals already in 21matches which shows a massive improvement but our defense has gotten even worst. Last year we conceded 47goals, with the 31goals we have conceded already we are going to surpass that if our defense doesn't improve. Only an amateur won't see our defense has been worst than our attack this season.

We just need to strike a balance between this attack and defense thing.

If you score 5 goals in a match and concede 6, will you praise your attack for scoring 5 in a match or will you blame you defense for conceding 6?

Conversely,if you concede just 1 goal but scored zero, will you praise your defense for being tight enough to concede "just" 1 goal or will you blame your attack for not being able to score any?

While our attack need massive improvement to convert chances created, our defense also need to tighten up. Individual errors in defense have cost us a lot this season. So yes, defense is also our problem.

In 2004/05 when Mourinho broke the record of least goals conceded in the league, we scored 72 goals. Arsenal in second scored 87..... The amount of 1-0 matches we played that season was uncountable.

2020/21 when Tuchel won us UCL, we conceded just 4 goals all campaign. 4 goals in 13 matches!

Make una no dey underrate the importance of defense in football.
