Guys abeg any info on NIA or NFIU
I recently learned that the NIA kicked off its training a few weeks ago, and it’s truly exciting to hear that one of my friends successfully secured a spot.
Their journey is a testament to hard work and determination, and it inspires me to keep pushing forward.

As for the NFIU, I’ve come across discussions about APLS being shared a couple of months ago. I’m curious if anyone has confirmed this information, as getting clarity on this could really help those of us navigating these processes.

Let’s continue to share our experiences
and support each other. 👏

I did comment then, and I remember asking you this important question “What's the essence of job security without financial security?”
I haven't seen anyone who asked a better question in this regard. Thanks for this insight; I'm sure a lot of younger folks will find it helpful in their future decision-making.
Except you are privileged to secure an appointment with the few A-list agencies and perhaps some select grade B, the condition of service as regards to welfare in the public sector is no longer what it used to be. Many civil/public servants will never be able to own their own houses before retirement. All the perks that made public service employment lucrative back then, such as gratuity payment, low-cost housing etc are no longer existent.
I personally know someone who returned to private sector after a horrific 10-year experience in the civil service. A friend of mine also recently left a subsidiary of NNPC (as a contract staff though) to a private O&G-E&P coy and he is 10x better off for that decision.

My cousin who was writing WAEC in 2016 while I was concluding my MSc is now a staff of a commercial bank. I am very much impressed with his take home. So to add credence to what you have rightly stated; any job that cannot guarantee you financial security but instead guarantees you job security is a lazy man's job. I have a friend who will always say public service job (especially the core civil service) is for lazy people who like to remain redundant and unproductive while earning a guaranteed monthly stipend. I am compelled to believe him years later. Most people will tell you it gives them opportunity to pursue a side hustle, but 60% of public servants don't pursue any side hustle in reality; instead they live from hand to mouth waiting desperately for the next paycheck.

Anyways, enough said. Each one to their own.

Thanks for your contribution, you couldn’t have said it any better. The fear of the unknown have made lots of people stick to their comfort zones which in turn have limited their capacity and growth.

Not everyone will know about recruitment especially in NPA. Only a management staff can tell you what's going on. By the time APL starts flying everywhere, it will be too late. If you're in Lagos or you know someone that can help go to the HQ in marina, ask for Human resources department that's where the info is

I can relate to your post. I before I can take a Government job, it has to be worth it. I work with a lot of civil servants, honestly their condition is really pathetic.

Good day everyone. Pls I need ur inputs so I can relate it to my friend. He told me someone told me about a slot to buy , and it’s for a popular agency (dont want to mention) that just concluded their recruitment exercise and have resumed already. So I’m certain it’s a scam cos the agency are like 3weeks into resumption already. He doesn’t know if he should go ahead with it. The money is huge. Is it possible? Cos I see them to be very reputable.
This is funny
You have to mention the organization before people can assist you with legit information …

Yea. I understand i just fear that it won’t be a good look. Being a public space. The position is Gt trainee and the recruitment exercise was portrayed as based on merit so…
You still have to mention it

No agency in Nigeria is a Saint

Good Day Elders.
I finished Youth Service in March and I've been trying to find something befitting to do since then. As an orphan it has not been easy at all, I can't keep depending on my sponsor ( she has done very well for me) , I'm 29 and currently managing in a friend's place. Please I need a job, though I studied Nutrition and Dietetics ( B.Sc second class upper) , I'm also experienced in the hospitality industry and food industries , and I can learn fast in a new role. I'm currently in Ogun State, but I can work in any of the South Western states and also open to relocation for jobs with accommodation.
My CV is available on request
