Yes, better to explain, especially if it is a personal account and an amount which is higher than the regular inflow into the account

I applied in March for a visitors visa for myself and my 5years old daughter. We got our visa approved April 30th and submitted our passport May 1st. We both got a mail that our passport is at IRCC. However, the next mail that followed two days after was for us to pick up our passport. Getting there, they said it was only my passport that is ready and her own isn't ready.

What causes such delay and how long do one have to wait?

Still no response from either VFS or IRCC since then, I am curious to know why my application is taking so long.

If your application number starts with a "V" that means ur agent didnt apply for work permit for you but visit visa. Work permit number starts with "W".
If u had not heard anything yet, just wait some more time or u can go to him and ask him to open ur portal and show u.

This is most likely a scam. The “V” in your application number means it’s a visitor visa, not a work permit. Your agent likely misled you. VFS is only responsible for biometrics — after that, only IRCC handles your application, so don’t expect any update from VFS. Also, who gave you a job without an LMIA? Most real job offers in Canada require one. Be careful . this situation has many signs of fraud.

Stop giving yourself false hope and face reality,you have no valid work visa application. You’re a victim of a Canada work visa scam, and what you actually submitted is a visitor visa application with forged documents. Just hope and pray you don’t end up with a ban.

Well, well… another victim of a Facebook visa agent.

While I was away, I anonymously joined several Facebook visa agent Telegram groups—and let me tell you, they are cashing out on ignorant people who refuse to learn. But trust me, they’ll learn the hard way.

These agents promise they can get you a work visa, or that they know how to convert a visitor visa into a work visa—using fake documents, of course. But they won’t tell you the documents are fake.

They offer different "packages":

Work visa package
Visitor visa that they promise to convert to a work visa once you land in Canada

😂 It’s all lies.

Since I had some free time, I decided to message one of these Facebook visa agents

Saying I just landed in canada and pretending I wanted to convert my visitor visa to a work visa.

For context: I’m a Canadian citizen. I came here as an international student, finished school, got a work permit, became a permanent resident, and eventually obtained citizenship.

This agent told me it’s possible and even claimed he just did it for someone else. 😂
I asked for evidence, and he sent me a document.

When I looked at it, I saw Case Type 28. 😏 and No Travel document number

That means the person filed for asylum after arriving in Canada on a visitor visa.

How do I know? A simple Google search told me and also comparing it with my old student permit and work permit
For reference:

Student permit: Case type 30
Post-grad work permit: Case type 56
Asylum claim: Case type 28

When I questioned him about the case type, he blocked me.😂
He knew I had caught him lying.

I hope you don’t get a 5-year ban.

I advice you request for Global Case Management System (GCMS) notes related to your Canadian visa application

Please understand: one Facebook visa agent can ruin your travel record permanently by using fake documents.

Do your research. Ask questions.
There is nothing a Facebook visa agent will do for you that you can't do for yourself—legally and properly.

I don't even know the site. But Google directed me to IRCC Portal and I applied. I always apply for my visas myself .

It's not compulsory or mandatory to explain any large amounts deposited into your account, but it's very important, particularly if you're not a frequent traveler.

Firstly, you need to book an appointment before going for your biometric capture. The biometric letter is available on your profile
After your appointment is booked, you can travel to Lagos with your biometric letter, your appointment slip or confirmation letter, and your passport
