I don't know how true this report is that Soludo announced in Anambra that APGA would be backing Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections

For one thing, it is quite premature for any party, apart from APC, to be backing Tinubu for 2027, two years before elections. And even if a party wanted to back Tinubu, it is usually the party chairman and NWC that makes such announcement.

But even if the story is true, the endorsement is pointless for Tinubu. APGA backed someone else for President in 2023, but Peter Obi swept Anambra with over 90% of the votes, and cleaned house in the South East

Tinubu is even less popular today, than he was in 2023. So this endorsement gets Tinubu no where. Obi will once again clean house in the SE come 2027


Tinubu better hope that the North are still with him, or he is a goner

The announcement is an indication that Soludo will defect to APC. It is common sense. Only foundational electoral reforms that will make INEC truly independent will stop APC in 2027.

Tinubu is not expecting to win Anambra even if APGA back him up.

The goal is to ensure Obi and his Obidient people will not be able to rig Anambra up to 90% for himself.

Tinubu just need 25% from that state and Soludo our ally will guarantee just that.

Lastly, SE votes are not important to Tinubu, that is not where he is hoping to get his 2027 winnings. All this one na just for aesthetics sake.

Politics is about connections not popularity

Do you know how many market leaders, church leaders, civil servants are behind APGA, there is a reason why they keep winning, even Peter Obi was governor under APGA.

Politics is offline not online and at the end of the day it is about personal interests.

APGA support will go a long way, 2023 was a surprise attack, nobody could have predicted the PDP crisis and Buhari currency madness everybody was shocked and trying to adjust accordingly, that is why Peter Obi had high votes. This time nobody would be caught unawares.
