Seun, I Am Gradually Withdrawing From Nairaland by PressMyButton(op):
I have since noticed that nothing has changed after my complaint a few days ago. Yesterday, I created a thread where Tanko Yakassai refuted Baba Ahmed's claim, I then made a comment saying " the real Nigerians from the North have spoken, Baba Ahmed should swallow his opinions and go to Mauritania and vomit it there. The next thing I got was a ban. Again, a few minutes back, I made a comment on a thread where Sowore slammed Peter Óbi calling him dumb. On the thread, I said " I don't care about the both of them if Sowore and Óbi were locked up in a ring like Portable and Speed Darlington and break each other's jaw. Again, I entered a ban straight up.
If I am punished for the right reasons, I do take responsibility but I cannot have it being punished for doing no wrong. Back then, we were being banned most of the time for replying a poster with insults, the Moderators would then inform us of the exact statements that got us the ban, even if sometimes, were ridiculous. However, this new bot is not observing that at all. Even when you made a comment in your own comment box without insults, the bot would come for you. And it seems as if no matter our feedbacks about it, nothing is going to change after all.
I have a duty to project a lot of good things the current Administration is doing, although there are teething challenges, still there lots of positives. I appreciate the opportunity this platform have offered but also I do not think I can keep up this way. Users alike would appreciate if you would make a little adjustments around this for a better interaction. This, however, would be my final complaint on this issue while I look forward to seeing an improvement as soon as possible.

I don't think it's about carrying Nairaland on the head but about fairness. Like me that usually doesn't insult, then why should the bot or whatever ban me?, because it bans me too but I just look away. Not everyone can take it on the chin.

I raised an alarm about this same issue last month, I also created a topic on it when i noticed something unusual about it. I think the bot is compromised, Lol.

See this one, if Twitter algorithm was acting like this, headless mob will have no place to wail, insult and peddle falsehoods.

I was too but I can't keep silent about getting banned for doing nothing to deserve it. This is a disorderly system where you have to adjust to being punished for breaking no rules. Anyways, we are wired differently.

The bolded is exactly the angle it is paining me. How can you ban me without telling me the exact word or statement that got me banned.

Seun should look into the bolded ASAP.

@Seun, the bot is doing exactly what it was meant to do. The level of rot on this platform was worrisome. Every thread on the politics, and religion sections was automatically filled with tantrums, trolling and fight.

We need sanity here for once.

It's pitiable that a platform like nairaland with over 3 million registered users, you come online and no thread has upto 20,000 views. One can hardly find 20,000 users online at any given time in the last few years.

It’s so frustrating

I get banned for the dumbest reasons

I won’t be surprised if I get banned for this comment

That’s why it’s a forum

You can’t have a forum without some little tantrums and trolling and fight… there should be VAR check and if within the limit, should be allowed

We are not here to be romancing everybody’s opinion like a fairy tale cartoon… people throw jabs and tantrums and it’s what makes a forum

Spreading propagandas which make light of Nigerians' sufferings under this present govt is worse than personal insults.
It's an injustice to and gross wickedness on the over 200mil Nigerians.
We'll be happy to see you withdraw too, pls.
