Alot of businesses thrive in this dry economy because of social media, they're not providing jobs but they wan collect people means of earning a living because of some silly fine that'll eventually line Thier pockets |

We must put our foot down, Facebook can be scrapped, we can negotiate with them on WhatsApp, but they need to pay the fine, although we can reduce the price of the fine a bit. |

Onyiiobi7735:Population does not always equal spending power. GDP per capita in Nigeria today is lower than 1960, what do you think that means? People should stop being delusional |

doyin01:You don't just out of nowhere order someone to pay up, that they committed a crime. Some places are not the Nigerian police station. |

Anti people moves. VPNs will circumvent the maximum ruler shenanigans. Nigeria will end up in the black books of the international community. Yes, education is not that important (boko haram) - however the elites use the most advanced private jets. They go to the best medical doctors. They stay in hotels and send their children abroad to partake of societies rendered modern by people who value education. Social media isn't what you can censor that easily. Oil and solid minerals are not quite as valuable as a quarter of the value the social media ecosystem represents. Buhari test ran this initiative by taking on twitter. His government gained nothing by it. Tinubu is towing the same path. Apparently this is a key strategy for APC. What exactly they stand to gain by deliberately setting Nigeria back remains to be seen. |

This is a good move the discrimination in Nigeria is bad how can someone in Nigeria not get monetize despite having 7k followers, but once u enter Europe with less than 2k followers you will eligible, FG is right on this one but they should find a level playing ground for it not to impact the masses. Bye bye-bye |

CorrectionFLuid:Nigeria didn't produce any proof and we won our case against them in court. How some Nigerians think and ridicule this nation eeh. Foreigners have more respect for Nigeria than some Nigerians have. |

Tinubu should reduce the penalty to a max of 10% of the present sum. Facebook isn't MTN. Again, economic xenophobia practised by countries such as usually Brazil backfires. |

Nigeria has a very strong influence on Facebook , Instagram and other social media worldwide. If Mark Zuckerberg decides to block Nigeria from accessing these platforms, his revenues will nosedive drastically. |
