“China is one of the strongest countries in the world, and it’s a one-party system. We are not saying we are working for a one-party system, but if that is the wish of Nigerians, we cannot quarrel with that.”We continue to have dumb people in government. China is a socialist state hence the one-party system of government. With the way Nigeria is going, I'm wondering how a one-party system will fit into democracy. |

The one party system of China is not controlled by criminals and corrupt kleptomaniacs. From Akpabio to this Dollar collector... These are the people overseeing the politics of Nigeria. This country is gone! |

rinzaugustine:China, Russia, UAE, Saudi Arabia etc are all developed economies and countries but are not running democracy. What's your take on that? |

I blame the opposition parties for not forming a coalition to push for electoral reforms. Now Apc is pushing for one party state. Lol even in a one party state, there will always be factions. For instance, the Northern faction, the governors faction, the activists faction, the Muslim faction, the progressive faction, the Igbo faction, the Niger-Delta faction etc. And these factions can always break out the same way Atiku and the Northern governors faction broke out of Jonathan’s Pdp in 2015. |

Good idea, it is betrer. At least there won't be disruption to the masses activities all in the name of elections, there won't be a waste of resources. There won't be usual violence that comes with our electioniering process. The military can even takeover Look at a man who benefitted from election saying rubbish. |

It will never be the wish for Nigerians to have a one party State, if all APC members defected to PDP then, will he be the National Chairman of APC now? |

It is wrong and i hope Nigeria does not get in to that situation. I pray we don't. The opposition have to prove their mettle and keep the government of the day on their toes. |

There might be something hidden with all defections. There might be monetary rewards for the defectors. I strongly believe they are enticing them with something. I fear dollar too much |

One party system suits the Fulani in its drive to forcefully impose Fulani brand of political Islam upon the rest of Nigeria. President Tinubu is preparing the way for Fulani in future at the detriment of his ethnic group. |

BlackViper:You believe he has low IQ just because he is Fulani and a Northerner. What does that say about your own IQ? Ganduje is a PhD holder and an excellent politician who has been systematically eroding the influence of other political parties and growing the APC yet you believe his IQ is low just because he is Fulani and a Northerner |

Lol If it favours them, it is not a ln issue, but if it doesn't, it become a crime. How do you say you practise a democracy and then one-party state is used in the same sentence? How? It is a house of card, it always falls and always a heavy fall. People joining your party are not doing it because they love Nigerians, it is for self preservation and to escape probe, possibly |
| Re: Ganduje: There's Nothing Wrong With A One-party State by onuman: 7:03am On May 10, 2025 |
Instead of president Tinubu to restructure Nigeria politically, he is lumping Nigeria into one party system all for his selfish interest in reelection in 2027. When Tinubu steps down from power, Arewa will use one party system to show pepper to the SW and SE regions. The already divided SS shall become a walkover for the Islamists then. |
