So Apples iPhone didn't make the list! This goes to show that all the iPhone lookalikes brandished by our yeyebrities are not the real thing

Transsion used to be on 80% share, now dropped to 56%.
A decline as people now prefer stronger and reputable brands sold in China. Xiaomi and realme is sold in china while transsion is not
Na nonsense u write😂😂

Transsion phones might not be sold in China, where Xiaomi and Realme thrive, possibly due to differing quality or feature expectations.

Smartphone preferences in Nigeria are evolving fast. It’s not just about big names anymore, performance and price matter more than ever

Itel phone is the reason why Transsion is losing traction, they are the worst phones ever,no matter the RAM it misbehaves and go super hot.
Im replacing like 5 from my office nsoones

Useless phone

They should just stick to their electronics and power banks
I thought their recent release is okay, that one that they're reviewing up and down

Bwanasaraw:
Why will you be using a 4GB RAM Phone in 2025. Is it only making phone calls and playing of music you want to be using it for?

Many PlayStore Apps are getting larger and heavier daily so your 4GB RAM is complete crap if you want to use the full smart phone features including multi tasking.

Any smart phone with less than 8GB is not future proof at all.
They probably got it as a second phone or a support device and not a main device because the specs are clearly stated that it's not meant for heavy use and also it's a budget phone that can carry out the minimal of tasks like you mentioned

Redmi is good and their price is coming down on daily basis, their A3, A5 are good phones but Nigerian masses still prefer Techno because the screen, battery and other parts are everywhere and affordable compare to other brands.

I wanted to buy a power bank and to my greatest surprise, the seller told me to go for itel 20000 Ahm. Of a truth i didn't regret buying it because it's efficient and last longer that other power banks I have used.

It's interesting to see HMS Global at 1% market share; the brand might have potential for growth with strategic marketing and product offerings tailored to Nigerian consumers

I'm not even surprised that realme is in top 5 honestly. They've been producing phones that suit the Nigerian market while on a budget. I saw reviews of all their products and Im honestly impressed. Give them their flowers.

Not everything is promotion. When a brand is good and doing well, why shouldn't they be talked about?

Exactly...with just 2 or 3 phones released, they really stormed the Nigerian market with quality
