fuckboys:Yeah. To be frank you should have gone with 180Watts or 200watts panels that are originally for 12v system. Just parallel them and set that ampere to the required charge current in your controller. Try using your PWM to wake it up, if it’s still available. |

fuckboys:Lolz, there's a reason its quoted in the manual the PV voltage limit for the different battery voltages |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 8:43pm On May 10, 2025 |
BigDickProblems:This isn't the ideal if using an mppt. Higher voltage means more efficiency in performance and cost in terms lesser guage wires |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nobody: 8:50pm On May 10, 2025 |
Drgreatone:And look at what the high voltage has caused. He could have gotten 12volts panel and the appropriate cable for the set charging current. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 8:53pm On May 10, 2025 |
BigDickProblems:His problem was from using more panels than specified for the battery voltage. Even if you want to go above the limit, dont over do it cos u wud end up likely having issues |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by okikigsm: 8:56pm On May 10, 2025 |
fuckboys:When I had issue like this, the problem was from the bms.so I loaded the battery overnight, then started charging again the next day. Maybe u can try this out |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by CuteMaro(m): 9:01pm On May 10, 2025 |
Drgreatone:@fuckboys follow his recommendations and try to check specified maximum pv array for ur system from the cc manual. I think here lies the solution to ur problems before things start getting fried ![]() |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by brightk(m): 9:06pm On May 10, 2025 |
fuckboys:what type of cc are u using. Do mind uploading a pic. State ur pv wattage, qty n mode of connection ( series/parallel) |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nobody: 9:08pm On May 10, 2025 |
Drgreatone:Ok. I get it now, he maxed out his recommended voltage. I am here to learn. Just a little of my experience so far is what I’m sharing. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 9:29pm On May 10, 2025 |
fuckboys:Are you sure you're not being limited by your battery? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Iinnov8: 9:48pm On May 10, 2025 |
Drgreatone:Fuckboys have not provided sufficient information and context to enable you guys advise him. Controller has been in use since February on a locally assembled LiFePO4 battery. Recently, he upgraded only his battery to an Haisic 12v 314ah LiFePO4 battery and he has now encountered this issue. My suspicion is that the BMS is probably the issue here |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Iinnov8: 9:52pm On May 10, 2025 |
Drgreatone:Regarding the emboldened; did you want to refer to VoC limit of the controller, considering the battery voltage (12v)? If yes, then I doubt that is the issue here because the VoC of each of his panels is less than 40v and he is on a 2s2p connection, keeping the VoC of the panels less than 80v, the recommended VoC for a 12v system |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:08pm On May 10, 2025 |
BigDickProblems:Nop that's not the charging voltage, is the panel voltage. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:13pm On May 10, 2025 |
brightk:powmr 60a 4 420 cworth panels connected in 2parallel series 2parallel with is panel voc 31.6v |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:15pm On May 10, 2025 |
BigDickProblems:no my all 4 panels was connected in a way not to max out the cc voltage, I was still under 70v and max on 12v on the cc is 80v. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:19pm On May 10, 2025 |
Drgreatone:no, I was still under the recommended voltage of the cc for 12v system. Total voltage was around 64v 4pcs of cworth panels connected in 2p s 2p Each pv has a max voltage of 31.6v |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:20pm On May 10, 2025 |
BigDickProblems:with an mppt cc it doesn't really matter. So long you're under the recommended voltage of the cc |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:25pm On May 10, 2025 |
okikigsm:maybe I'll try this. Thanks. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:26pm On May 10, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:just tire, how can I ascertain this? Battery still dey under warranty o. |

Valto:What is the continues watts of the 4k and 3k watts satchet inverter.? And there prices am surely coming for 1 . |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:35pm On May 10, 2025 |
And one other thing cos I don’t know if this is important, my inverter can’t charge this battery cos it’s showing MCB main trip |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nobody: 10:51pm On May 10, 2025 |
fuckboys:So what could have caused this issue since you are under the recommended voltage?? I guess I’m still asking the same question as you 🥲 |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ManAdii: 11:01pm On May 10, 2025 |
fuckboys:Then you know your problem already. It's battery issue. Try loading it this night as something here suggested. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Dam5reey1(m): 11:50pm On May 10, 2025 |
Deye na better Soup oo.. Efficiency 97% DC to AC conversion stop wasting unnecessary power in conversion. Even 5kwh batteries will last very well. 1750/1800 If you have 5kwh batteries, this will mean you can use 4850wh on the AC side compared to most inverter with 87%, which gives on 4350wh.. a whole 500wh saved..

fuckboys:I didn't read your whole story, but your installed panel capacity is way above the CC recommended Watt for a 12V system. You can try 3 panels in parallel and see what that maximum Total Watt would be, if it exceed say 700W then stick to 2 panels |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by pheleix: 12:06am On May 11, 2025 |
fuckboys:What's the charging current from the CC? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 6:19am On May 11, 2025 |
pheleix:around 50+amps |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 6:23am On May 11, 2025 |
pheleix:my installer has climbed that roof several times and my landlord isn't happy with it anymore, I want to be able to solve this issue without going to rearrange the panels again. I stay in a rented apartment. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 7:10am On May 11, 2025 |
fuckboys:I think your panel voltage is above the maximum rated for your inverter voltage. Is your PV Voc above 80v? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 7:17am On May 11, 2025 |
pheleix:This is not how MPPT capacity sizing works... You can over panel your controller so long as you don't go over recommended voltage and amps. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 7:19am On May 11, 2025 |
fuckboys:I have noticed, in my own setup that once current enters the 50's with this controller, the controller gets very hot and enters into over temp shutdown. I have had to add an external cooling fan to help the situation. Note, my setup is outside, so ambient temp gets quite high. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by SolomonGrundy: 7:20am On May 11, 2025 |
fuckboys:Ur panels are too much for the CC to handle |
